Clean out your temporary internet files and temp files.

Download TFC by OldTimer click Here to your desktop. Click the Save file tab, save it to the desktop. Then double click it to run it.

Double-clickTFC.exe to run it.

Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator

TFC will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin

* Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process.
* Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two.
* Please let TFC run uninterrupted until it is finished.

Once TFC is finished it should restart your computer. If it does not, please manually restart the computer yourself to ensure a complete cleaning.

I previously ran CC and cleaned my temp files, but followed your advice and ran TFC too.

Thanks, Josephine! I wish I had the desire to draw more often, but it comes around so sparingly nowadays. When I was little, right through and a few years after school, I was always drawing or painting. Now I don't seem to have the time or motivation. I started the outline of my newest project, but we'll see how far I go before I give up, but hopefully I won't. A drawing like Oscar's takes me hours to do, and now that I'm working full time I won't be able to work for hours at a time like I did with him, which helps keep me motivated to finish versus only putting in an hour or two a day. We shall see though. I may have to make myself finish. Karen

Sorry to hear about your trouble, Larry. I've received nothing fishy from you. I've had my email taken over a couple of times. My Facebook account, too. I was apparently stranded in London with the kids on a last-minute vacation. Yeah, that's something I'd do. Heh. We have Macs and have not had any viruses since making the switch several years ago. I'm a complete computer moron so it has to be pure luck that I've not yet caught one of the rare Mac viruses. I hear they're getting more common. Oh, I did have my debit card number stolen a couple of years back. The bank caught it and was very good about it. I guess I'd been buying up several hundred dollars in fancy underwear in Norway or something and they thought that might be a bit odd for me. Like old age, the internet is not for sissies, huh? I'm not sure if this is a definate link but chicken is injected with estrogen to make the breast grow. I read that young girls are developing large breasts due to comsuming chicken. The bird is injected with the hormones and we eat the bird. I doubt that's the major cause of breast cancer but a good reason to eat chicken that's hormone free. Yes it costs more but well worth it. immediately change your email password and do not use anything easy use a combo of numbers and letters and at least 8 long.

I'm guessing that someone hacked your account not your computer but anything is possible. I'd suggest, until you've verified your computer to be virus/malware free that you change the password using another computer (perhaps that of a trusted friend or relative). As suggested, use a strong password of at least letters and numbers. You'll also want to change your answers to your account recovery questions. Assuming you were born in New York you could change your answer to Neu York or make up a city. Ditto for favorite author, movie, etc.

Users have been battling addressbook hijackers in one matter or another for years. The current "duqu" virus is one.

Citing MSNBC, "The company (Microsoft-dm) promised the security update earlier this week as it races to deal with the virus, which targets victims via email with a Microsoft Word attachment. The virus is not in the email, but in the attachment itself. A Symantec researcher said if a user opens the Word document, the attacker could take control of the PC, and nose around in an organization's network to look for data, and the virus could propagate itself."

yes that is one bad one I for one will not be opening any word doc. in email!!
