Hi Kayla - overall I like the dual fuel range. My husband loves the digital meat thermometer that came with it and we've made the best prime rib roasts since we've gotten this oven. The pre-heat does take awhile but we've gotten used to it. I've made cookies and they turn out great. We have also started using the lower oven more if we're baking something in a shallow dish, frozen garlic bread, rolls and etc. because it doesn't take as long to heat up. We've used the griddle to make sandwiches and pancakes and I'm happy with how that works and the easy clean up. I would say the stove top is easy to scratch if you aren't careful when you clean around the burners. Make sure you lift the grates up, off and set aside to clean and not just lift the front of the grates so you can wipe underneath. You'll scratch the little raised lip on the back of the stove top with the burner grates. I'm still not crazy about the overall height of the stove top but that's not really a fault. My husband on the other hand (6'2" tall) LOVES the dual range and all of it's features. He would highly recommend it to everyone. I like it. We also bought the matching over the range microwave. We bought it because you can bake in it and I thought we would really use that feature a lot but have found it takes a really long time to pre-heat the oven feature of the microwave and you have to use this little round raised baking rack which I have very few dishes that will fit, actually none now that I think about it. I thought it would be more like my old toaster/convection oven that sat on my counter top and it's really not at all. For the most part we just use the microwave to re-heat and warm things. I found a 30" Wolf DF on ebay for $4K. It's in immaculate condition. I was a little over a yr old & looked like it hadn't been used once. The story is the woman hurt her back & couldn't bend down to get into the oven so they were remodeling w/ wall ovens & a cooktop. They went w/ Wolf again, so they were obviously happy w/ the one I bought from them. All of this being said, you really need to do your due diligence when buying something online in this price range. You'll have to pay for shipping & make sure you have insurance on the item. My homeowners covered any problems if it was damaged in shipping, so I didn't have that cost. I was also lucky that the owners wrapped it better than a store would have & I found a great moving co that put it in it's own box. Shipping ended up costing $400 +/-, so I could have bought a gas only for the same I pd for this used DF. My advice....don't buy emotionally! If you pay thru Paypal, you have insurance w/ them, as well as, ebay. You do need to do your due diligence in buying such an expensive item online. I saved a few thousand on a DF & it turned out great. I've read others have bought on ebay, as well, so there are good things to come from there. There are a lot of appliance co's that sell floor models or refurb w/ the full original warranties, on ebay, as well. Most of them ship free, but make sure to inspect before letting the shipping co. drive off. Any dents, scratches, etc, reject & send it back. You can possibly find floor models cheaper than regular price. Call around to see if any stores in your area have any they would be willing to sell. I believe Wolf is coming out w/ new models in January - I could be wrong on that, but I think that's what I heard. If I'm correct, your odds of finding a floor model might be good. And, you can bargain w/ the stores. They all want your service! Good luck!

I went to an appliance store today. On the 5-burner issue, it seems to be depend on the model. Some don’t use the space well, so it is crowded. But others do “edge to edge”, meaning they place the burner closer to the side edge, so there is more space between burners. I measured (yes, you know you’re remodeling when you travel with a tape measure, LOL) and the “edge to edge” cooktops had burners about 3.5” from the edge of the stove, while others, even those with a grate that goes to the edge, have burners 6.5” from the side of the stove. So some of them are wasting 3” on each side, so 6” overall on a 30” wide stove. Also, the saleswoman pointed out that slide-in stoves have more space front-to-back compared to freestanding ones, which have that panel in back (she says the panels have been getting thicker in recent years). So just an FYI if this helps anyone who is shopping.

From a cooking functionality standpoint a Bluestar RNB is the better option with much better burners. The oven is about equal to Wolf (not sure vs others).
