raven- yes, that was what I was thinking of, thank you. I do not use OE very much- I would rather use Yahoo. I find that I can't delete the addresses by highlighting them and then deleting. Will I do this BCC with Yahoo also? Now, I have mentioned the security risk to two people- my cousin, and a friend. Both retired. Their reply to me was-'I.ve been doing it this way for years and nothin' has ever happened to me- I've never had a virus'. One, the cousin, has had to send his Dell back twice- about 3 -4 years apart as I remember it. His computer was totally gone- he lost all pictures, folders, addresses- everything. Couldn't this possibly been a virus? I guess as long as nobody gets his 401k, raids his bank account, or credit card, he thinks he is safe. Maybe he is, I don't know- but what little I have, I want to keep. As far as the other poster, he is my friends husband, and HE KNOWS EVERYTHING!!(he woulda' been a divorced guy many, many moons ago if married to me.... hmmm, probably dead and buried in the cellar..) What can I say to these guys- just because you haven't been 'hiy' yet, does not mean it won't happen in the future?? Thanks for the site.

I want to thank you too. I have been bombarded with e-mails saying " delivery Failure Notification". They are viruses and my AVG catches them. I don't open them but they would not delete. After having resigned myself to taking the computer into the shop, I decided to check here. Thank you. Now, any ideas how to keep from getting these e-mails at all?

Lindsay, I had trouble logging in at the beginning of the changeover as well. I contacted them via "contact us" and they immediately wrote to me. We tried a few things, and then they gave me a new username, webuser and a number just like what you have. My posts would show up as that until I changed my First Name. I tried to change my username to Jasdip and it wouldn't take it, so I just put a 1 at the end of it. At least I can remember that if I need to, and I seldom have to use my username. I keep logged in all the time.

My only idea would be to check your junk/spam folder. If Facebook claims it sent an email to the Verizon mail server, whether or not it actually gets there should have nothing to do with your machine. Right? How are you checking your mail? Are you using a client such as Outlook or Thunderbird to read mail? If so, you might eliminate that variable by logging directly into Verizon's mail server. "Accessing your email Type http://webmail.verizon.com/signin into your Address Bar. Enter your Verizon Online user name and password. Preview your Inbox, send email and create additional accounts."
