I'm assuming that all swap boxes have now been mailed.

According to my records the following "swappers" are still waiting for their swap boxes to arrive. If I have missed anyone please let me know.

Just received trees to plant, how long can I wait?

We did the same thing and received our Arbor Day trees about 2 weeks ago. They were not large enough to be consider trees, medium size weeds would be a better description. In the instructions received with the trees, it recommended that the trees be potted and maintained in pots for a year or so, before planting them in the yard. Or until they were of a size you would buy in a nursery. Since it is recommended to not plant trees in any thing but the dirt from the hole they will be planted in, We went into the back of our lot and filled 10 - one gallon pots with dirt. We then planted one tree per pot. Like other plants waiting to be planted, their home for the next couple of years will be out front porch. This has an advantage over putting them in the yard. We have a lot of wild life in our yard, deer rabbits, squirrels, and etc. Keeping the small trees on our porch will protect them from deer, rabbits, and other small animals and discourage the squirrels We live east of Raleigh and rarely experience 0 temperatures, Rarely do we get snow and if we do it last not more than a day. Those in colder ares may need to grow them in a small tree house or a hot bed.

I'm still around, although I don't need many seeds anymore because my garden's now full! However I still am willing to send seeds to others who need them. I, like many others, use Mozilla, and am not bothered by pop-ups. I haven't noticed any slowness in the pages loading. I mostly check in on Northwest Gardens, but I take a look here and at Northern Gardens regularly. -Gord

I actually enjoy waiting - it increases the suspense! One swap I waited three months for a package from Japan, and it was sooo worth it! These packages are very much like Christmas, and I guess they bring out the child in us at times! Normally, I would try to figure out which senders have had their packages received so that I could narrow my choices of which person is sending to me, but I've been a bit swamped with work lately (which is good, for a change). I wished I had granjan's name because on our trip I saw a big canvas bag at the Lands' End "not quite perfect" store in Madison that was monogrammed with "GRANJAN"! :)

LOL granjan. Shipping to Canada can always take an indeterminate amount of time, depending on whether the customs agent had a good day or not.

Granjan, Jessica is right. It often takes 2 weeks or more depending on how long Canadian customs holds things up. I heard from my partner when it was shipped so I'm not worried.

I'm being patient, but it's hard!

Actually, this turned out great. DD#2 was the most involved in the swap purchases, etc. and she was gone this past week visiting the Grandparents. I think my package was just waiting for her to be home so that she could be here to help open it!

Just seven still waiting to receive. I believe that all the boxes are in the mail so it shouldn't be long.

You are right, Jessica, AM is on vacation so I'm just hoping that second box is there. Especially since you know what is in it and it was the LAST one I had. Sigh.

So much for my faith in the Postal Service, and it hasn't come back to me either.

*languishing* I love that word! It sounds so restful, in a gentle, southern sort of way!

I'm finally caught up...but ooops! I've marked Sunny off my list! I need to go figure out what I did! And AM's 2nd box? Did that one arrive yet? I've gotta double-check that one, too. It's tough going on vacation in the middle of a swap! Not from the shipping/receiving perspective...but from the keeping up perspective!

I agree Janet..the shawdows are getting longer, the leaves are starting to drop and around here, the winds are starting to pick up...
