Yes, I owned both IQ and Wave Touch washer and not the dryer. The washer does well with large load but when it comes down to KING SIZE comforters it takes forever to get the whole thing wet. One queen size comforter should not have this problem as like the king since the bedding is much smaller in size. So this is not a problem if all your bedding is Queen sized. I do add water only for my KING SIZE comforter through the dispenser. Just enough for it to get completely wet and no more. Rinsing is fine after adding extra water for the wash cycle only. You can wash small loads without a problem as long as you have all items weighing the same so that when it goes into spin, the balancing act does not take forever. The Quick Cycle is a 5 minuet normal wash and one rinse. Consider this as an freshen up cycle. It says it can be done in 18 minuets only if the load is balanced during the spin cycle, in reality it is 25 minuets. If you are washing coats, to increase washing action, place two dryer balls with the load. I've just done my best friend coat with feathers and it done a great job around the cuffs and neck area without pre-treating. As for the door, both worked flawless. The machine needs to level and squared to prevent door from sticking. I don't own the dryer, I can not see how poly fabrics would burn in this dryer because of the design. If you look inside the dryer, it's an opposite tilt than the washer and the lint filter and sensor is toward the front, the suction would keep anything from sticking to the rear where the heating is coming from unless the user was doing a full load of poly blend on high heat. In today's world, appliances are hit and miss. Not one machine is going to perfect and everyone of them will have flaws that we consumers has to deal with. I know we want the best that our dollars can buy, but it's more about conveniences that should take the main step in our lives than the best what MFG are putting out. I have the best of both world, a top loader and a front loader and right now the front loader wins over the other. If anything were to happen to my daily driver then my backup is ready for use! I had a Bravos and hated it so much I sold it for pennies on the dollar. I think it was $1000 and I sold it for $100. I wish I could tell you the big tub is a wonderful thing but it's not. It doesn't put enough water into the tub and sometimes my clothes were not even wet. It was gross. Not to mention it was big so it often went out of balance and the clothes were in a huge wadded up ball when I extracted the clothes. They went too far when cutting down the water used to wash the clothes because it now does not get clothes clean or in some cases even wet. It's also a noisy machine and takes forever to wash clothes. My GE front loader does a much better job of cleaning clothes. I would never buy a top load High Efficiency machine again. The dryer was noisy too. I'm much happier with the set I have now which I think is the same GE set you mentioned in your post.

Read the manuals. One problem with the Wave Touch is that you can't just look at it and know all (or most) of the options that have been selected. So for the first few weeks, step through all the options till you get a feel for which ones will always be used on which settings. And consider saving some combinations as favorites. For example, on the dryer I'll use Normal cycle for both sheets and t-shirts, but I'll only set Perfect Tumble for the sheets Until I saved that configuration as a favorite, I'd always check the settings to make sure Perfect Tumble was either set or off as appropriate.

Oddly enough, I just got done helping a friend with the exact same choice. She wound up picking the LG WM3700. Here's what we came up with in making the decision. First thing is to understand that Consumer Reports's survey and the Yale Appliance Blog reports are measuring different things. CR's survey covers five years of ownership but excludes any problems or product failings which were covered by service agreements (i.e., it excludes anything covered by manufacturer warranties and/or extended warranties.) YA reports first year service calls on the brands of appliances that YA sold (i.e., it only covers warranty calls within the first year of ownership.) Also, YA reports all service calls for the type of product by brand. Some of the calls for a particular brand and product , say, Electrolux washing machines, will be be for breakdowns and some will be for customer problems (maybe not understanding how to operate the thing) and user errors (maybe overdosing on detergent.) It bears noting that YA's business model is to service what it sells. The service part is done under contract with the manufacturers. (These days, pretty much all appliance manufacturers contract out their warranty service.) The reason YA quit carrying Electrolux and Firgidiare washers was a combination of two things. One was the high rate of calls they were getting on the Electrolux full-size washers that they sold in 2016, 2017, and 2018. he rates of calls was a high 20% in 2016 (25% for products from Electrolux's subsidiary, Frigidaire) up to nearly 40% for the Electrolux and Frigidaire washers that YA sold in 2018. The other factor was Electrolux's meager reimbursements to the service contractors. YA seems to have concluded that the combination of high rates of service calls and low reimbursement payments from the company made it unprofitable for YA to sell Electrolux washing machines. As a complete aside, it is interesting that Yale found that Electrolux's compact front load models, EIFLS20Q and EFLS210, generated the fewest service calls for any brand or type of washer. So where does that leave the OP, Terri, in deciding between LG's WM3700 and Electrolux's EFLS627? My friend concluded that you get better odds with the LG over the Electrolux, so she chose the LG. Some other considerations factored into my friend's choice. Both LG and Electrolux have poor local reputations for warranty service and support. Beyond the warranty period, the LG looks easier to work on and is suitable for DIY work. (If you have not already seen the videos by Eugene Pallas/Lorain Furniture, he has several on the WM3700 and the 3770/4370 models where he make this point.) Also, in our area, the LG is carried by numbers of sellers including Lowe's. Lowe's provides free delivery and installation even to our rather rural location, which somewhat lowers the price bar. Lowe's does not carry Electrolux washers any more, and everybody who does will charge between $70 and $150 to deliver and install an EFLS527. Finally, we have a local expert appliance repair service guy who does post-warranty work on just about everything. He told my friend he favors working on LGs over the current Electrolux models. YMMV in your area.
