WANTED: oooooohhhh, i'm the first!!!! (pic heavy)

Someone is really, really organized :))

Imagine my surprise when I went to pick up the mail and there was a large box from a person and address I didn't recognize?

Did I order something on eBay I had forgotten about?

It didn't even occur to me it could be my swap package.

I set it on the counter, grabbed a knife and opened it.

There, right under the flaps, was a lovely letter from beachlilly.

My heart started going pitter-patter rather fast and I got all excited.

It's her first time participating and mine too so even though the anticipation was killing me, I set aside the package till I could really take my time savouring it.

I came back to it a few hours later when work was done and the kids were settled.

This what I unpacked....

Beachlilly found the most intriguing potter out there and sent me a pottery chicken baker. It's a very sophisticated version of the chicken on a beer can and I can't wait to use it. She also suggested some other uses for it like baking garlic rolls and putting melted butter in the middle. oh, the possibilities!!!

And did I mention the color. It's the most beautiful blue/ green and reminds me of seafoam. Sea/beachlily/sea/beachlily what a wonderful association.

I could NOT believe my eyes when I opened the next package. Seriously, I thought beachlilly had hacked into my Amazon account. There was a cook book I had had my eyes on for quite a while. I hadn't bought it because dh would for sure have had something to say about me buying yet another cookbook. He absolutely cannot say a word when I get one as a gift though. No.He.Can't!! So thank you, thank you, thank you, beachlily!

The final package contained orange blossom honey. oh, bliss! I love, adore, am addicted to good honey and can't wait for my favorite bee keeper to come all the way from Wisconsin twice in the summer to our local farmer's market. I savor the honey all year and get really stingy (how do you spell that?) with it right about now when it's running low. I'm eating some right now (I couldn't wait) on a plain piece of toast, and after I'm done, it's going on grilled pears for desert tonight. Yummmmmm!!!

And best of all, today is dh's and my 24th wedding anniversary. I sure do feel the love!

And before anyone panics, I am working hard on putting my package together but it probably won't go out for a few more weeks as I am importing something very special. You will have to wait and see :)

Beachlily, you made my day and I can't thank you enough. I will think of you each and every time I use these wonderful treasures.
