Your swap box should contain ONE to THREE items and should be Cooking related.

If you are new to swapping, check out some of the previous swap threads.

Also, would everyone, new and regulars, please email me with their full name, mailing address and phone number. Since the last swap I have had to replace my computer and I'm not sure that everything I was able to save is acurate.

My Email Address is thibeault (AT) shaw (DOT) ca

Marlene, Cindy, Kathy, It was my pleasure to host the swap and we will do it again next year as well. I can't believe that the weather turned out to be the way it did, nor rain, sun and a few clouds, but I could have done with out all the humidity. And to think, at 6:30AM this morning I was sitting here trying to decide who to scream at first for pushing me to go with today for the swap. It was storming for the 4th time since 1AM this morning and the weather maps where showing a wall of rain and storms heading in. Who would have thought we would luck out the way we did. Glad you had a good time, we do have a wonderful group of gardeners that come every year to the swap and keep adding and adding to the selection of plants and seedlings every year. Marlene, I will email you if I find any more pots that Michelle could use, and you should tell her to start checking out the yard sales whenever she can. She will be amazed at the pots she can find that way and the prices are really a steal. Kathy, I checked some of the pics in the link and those flowers still didn't look like the one you gave me last year and I got seeds from. Happy planting to all of you and happy gardening. How about some pics of the plants and seedlings when they bloom and thrive in their "new homes'. Hint, Hint Kathy, "new homes". Fran

Thank you everyone for coming. It was an experience with the rain, wasn't it? But, yes it was preferable to me to, over the heat and humidity that we've had last year and some other years as well. So much for trusting the weather forecasters to be correct when you need them to be. But, everything turned out well, even with the heavy rain, and we did have the carport to keep going under to get out of it. It was nice meeting you Suzanne, Silvia and Dan and Susan. I'm sure you will all take good care of those new seedlings and plant divisions. Susan, I'm glad you where able to get some of the plants in the ground. It rained here until about 3:30 and after that, the bugs where just horrible. Those foxgloves should bloom for your mother next year. I did get the house plants your brought me potted up today. Oh, Michelle, her husband and daughter did come around 1:30-2pm or so and was just thrilled with all the perennial plants. containers and pots to take home for next years charity plant sale for Children's Hospital. She said to tell everyone "thank you". Now if the ground will just dry up a little bit, and the rain stop for a few days, I can get the rest of my own plants, seedlings and those I got from the swap in the ground. Oh, and the weather really wasn't any better this morning either. It poured her this morning as well. Such is the life of a gardener, and we can't control the weather. At least we all know that we can have a successful swap, with lots of fun, good company and good food, even in the rain. Hope everyone has a wonderful summer, their new plants do well for them and we will plan on another swap here next spring. Love to hear from everyone as to how the plants do this summer. Fran

Grace and Shirley, I have been sorta MIA here. We have had a couple BIG fires on the ranch and extra workers here trying to get cows moved and Mamas and calves separated into different fields and the holidays and county fair etc , etc..... Anyway, Grace, I'm looking forewars to sitting down with the book and relaxing a bit. Will regular "night Crawlers" work? We have those here in areas that are irrigated. Bethb

Loves2cook....yes....some of us can. We are all grateful for those who do what they can to ease the pain of others caught in disasters of any making.... But this thread is...or was about swap participants notifying Ann if they were not going to be able to receive their swap gift when sent.
