thank you for the feedback it is always good to know this kind of info in case someone searching for a clue to a similar problem may find their answer here. As to the firefox question, I had missed where you asked how to use it in your other thread, it did kinda get lost. To use firefox which you have on your pc you just go to the firefox icon on your desktop or find it in your start> all programs list and open it, double click the icon, it will open up the web browser and you use it just like you would IE, just type in where you want to go and it will take you there. Now I would guess if someone installed firefox some time ago and you never used it that it will be an old and out of date version so you probably would need to update it, you can do that by clicking on Tools> Options> then go to the update area and you have the option to choose to update firefox, your add-ons etc. I would say go to Help > about firefox and let us know which version it says you currently have and we can help you more once we know that. Biwako - I went to options and changed it to default (I had had it set for colors to correlate with domain - and it used to work like that - but I thought I'll try anything). Again - it worked at first - and then the color goes away (it's odd - it's not just when I close a tab or open a new one that it's white - the same tab that was blue before - now is white - no colors now at all). I cannot imagine what add-on might conflict. It's a daunting task to figure out which one. I've been so wild about the FF add-ons - that I have a ton of them. I don't believe any of them were new (oh - except for extensions to try and capture hulu streaming videos). I'll try the safemode and see if colorful tabs works there. If it does, I'm willing to try eliminating those last couple of video capture extensions. If that doesn't work - I'm in for a big, long process of elimination. I don't have any color - or the other extensions that were identified as being incompatible with Colorful Tabs. But something else has gone awry - my all-in-one-sidebar doesn't work consistently either. I guess something I added or updated is causing a problem. I'll report back if I figure it out. Thanks. Vee, thanks for the link to the woman speaking Welsh. Mary, I listened to the woman in the video and detected the back-of-the-throat gutturals similar to the German (e.g. the /ch/ of Bach) and Scottish (e.g. /ch/ of loch). Those sounds are probably difficult for English speakers over the age of about fifteen to produce. Those under fifteen, unless they have a speech disability, shouldn't have many/any problems. I didn't notice much 'R' rolling from this particular speaker, a feature of pronunciation (such as in Scottish and Spanish) that many (adult) English speakers can't reproduce and have a tendency to disparage because of it. Many Americans, interestingly to me, don't have problems 'rolling Rs' but, of course, some Americans can barely pronounce 'R' at all. The double letters and the sounds they represent are interesting. English speakers, of course, wind up in most cases just pronouncing them as single sounds, such as giving the Ll of Welsh the sound of English L. The Welsh start with the tongue in the position to say L but barely get the sound initiated when they switch to the guttural sound of /ch/ (as in loch). Now that's a feat! It's the perfect shibboleth for the Welsh, isn't it, Vee? Instead of persisting in saying 'Welsh', I should be referring to the language as 'Cymraeg'. From the etymology of the word 'Welsh', it's a wonder the people of Cymru put up with the unflattering derivation.
