Very beautiful pottery! I've not noticed deep dish pizza pans like that before - I used to make that quite often, but all of my were rectangular. Check the link below for info about Chicago style pizzas.

I've never had dried cherries like that. The only Michigan cherries I get come in a jar, and I use them to make pies. Are you eating the cherries by themselves? They sound like they would be good in scones.

OK, OK, I promise to make deep dish pizza - only I really want to find a way to make it with a whole wheat, or at least partial whole wheat, crust. I get the impression that deep dish pizza crust is richer, with more oil and/or butter. Teresa, thanks for the recommendation for the deep dish pizza from the Frugal Gourmet - it looks delicious and it's vegetarian!

Nancy, the pottery bowl is really unique (and DEFINITELY in one piece), and it looks quite pretty on my kitchen counter. I like pottery too, but it's hard to find such lovely and distinctive pieces where I live, let's just say artists aren't too prolific here (but there are surfers:-)

The cherries tempt me all day long with their ruby color and sweet tart taste. I finished the bag that Annie had so generously sent me, and have been craving them ever since. I have segregated about 2/3 of the bag for baking, and am allowing myself to snack on the rest (trying to share, but it's HARD). They jazzed up my morning bowl of oatmeal quite nicely. I love Maria's suggestion to make a giant oatmeal cookie with them! But Annie you are correct, the Lack Boys want a real deep dish pizza, with cheese and tomato sauce like Uno's, and so I will attempt to create a masterpiece for them. Cherries optional:-)

The dogs are still waiting for Nancy's dog to come out of the box and say hi. Extremely intelligent animals, aren't they? They're cute though.

Nancy does send nice bowls. I remember the one she sent Yasou (Oly). Now, I want to see a cherry pizza in that pan!

I like everyone of those items. I have a few of the shallow crust pizza pans but not a deep dish!

I don't think I could have kept any of the cherries for baking...great snacking food.
