FWIW; I had a flash problem with a particular site. It was FLASH has a known problem with one of the stream standards/streaming methods, and not all firewalls will pass it even after explicitly configured for it. Even when I set the ports to allow, it takes 30 seconds or so to start streams. Its a know problem and Adobe has a page on it that says tuff luck until they figure it out. I have to lower my router firewall settings a notch just to able to start flash streams from certain sites that use one version of their FLASH streaming server. Not saying its your problem ,, but was mine on at least one site I frequent so I have my router firewall sitting on minimum because of Adobe/Flash.

I just added Firefox for the first time this past weekend; it's version 3.5.3 which I believe is the latest. At Adobe, I installed/reinstalled Flash Version 10.0.32.18. It is for Windows, Firefox, Safari and Opera. I also installed the Flash Player 10 PlugIn 10.0.32.18 which is for Firefox. I tested at the Adobe site and they report Flash 10.0.32.18 was successfully installed. I also checked C:\Windows/system32/Macromed/Flash and found Flash10c.ocx and NPSWF32.dll there. During the time that I was still trying to get IE7 to work, I followed some directons using Start, Run and then entering each of the following separately, followed by clicking OK. They were regsvr32 mshtml.dll regsvr32 shdocvw.dll regsvr32 browseui.dll regsvr32 msjava.dll Success was reported with the 1st three, but on the last the message was: LoadLibrary ("msjava.dll") failed. The specified module could not be found. I googled it and one site said it won't be found because MS's Java has been replaced by Sun's version. Another site listed programs it's known to affect - Macromedia Flash was on the list. Since I recognized the work Java, I reinstalled that program just in case it might solve the video problem - it didn't. Since this all began somewhere in the process of updating to IE7 (which I then uninstalled) I did reinstall IE7 hoping for a magic solution - it didn't happen. I do plant to continue with FF, however. Is there a program (or maybe it's a tool that's already on my computer) that would show what's happening behind the scenes when the video is "loading"? wait you are talking originally about flash and adobe but then you say something about installing the shockwave, those are 3 different programs. There is Java There is adobe player There is shockwave. you need to make sure you are getting the proper one. If you need java getting shockwave will not help you. You probably want all 3 of them, and you will want them for each of your browsers you use. To update your Java go to control panel then to the java icon there it looks like a coffee cup and hit the update button and follow the prompts. For adobe go to adobe player on your pc and select the update option and follow the prompts to update your player. For shockwave go to the download page for it and select the proper one for your operating system and browsers. Install Adobe Shockwave Player Install Adobe Flash Player BE SURE to uncheck any added components or options like the McAfee scan on the site listed above and in each download you do be sure you uncheck any checked options for added toolbars or other options you only want the actual player you went there for. That's so nice of you to take the video! It's so hard to make these decisions just by looking at the item. Most of the time, at the Big Box stores they are displayed so high up you can't even touch them, let alone work the nozles and switches. In a perfect world maybe they'd actually be hooked up to plumbing! As for the cigarettes (OP mentioned) I just thought I'd mention without being preachy that I found a product that helped me quit smoking in 12 days. It is a prescripton pill called CHANTIX. I had absolutely no cravings or feelings of deprivement. It curbed my "appetite" for smoking the first few days and suddenly on day 12 I was getting ready for bed and realized I didn't smoke all day. I took the prescription for a total of 5 weeks and decided I could go on my own from there. I've only had one cigarette since and it wasn't pleasant. Just thought I'd put that in there so if anyone is offended, please disregard. I just hope I can spark your interest if you do smoke because I cannot tell you what a pleasure it is to have that monkey off my back! I do think it would be nice to have a cigarette, maybe once a week and then I tell myself I don't do that anymore and the feeling passes quickly! By the way it is going on 4 months now.
