I have Office 07 and despise it. I have Office 03 on my office computer and will drive in to the office on weekends or at night to write a letter. I only use 07 if I know I won't have to make any changes or mistakes. Office 03 is basically the same old word processing from the early versions. They completely changed everything around in the 07 version. I had letters to write today and spent my Saturday in my office to do them. What I also do is compose letters on Google Docs (which is easy) and download them to Word. Sorry for my rant, but I just hate what Microsoft did to Office 07. BTW, this is how my screen appears on 07. For whatever reason it keeps double-spacing. I have it set to single but it keeps double spacing. I sooo hate this program! Sorry for the rant... Jane

The nearest thing to Outlook Express in Windows 7 is Windows Live Mail. OE is no longer available in any version of Windows 7. Can't help you with your specific problems, but if I recall correctly (I still use OE on my old XP desktop), you cannot insert pictures into Windows Live Mail either; they have to be attached. This is supposedly for security purposes. I don't think it's possible to have music in e-mails, either. The "junk" mail issue should get better as Outlook "learns" what mail is legitimate. You might be able to set up a "white list" of senders whose e-mail should come into your INBOX rather than the JUNK. I have no idea about the encrypted e-mails, but perhaps someone who uses Outlook will be able to help.

OP, I hope you're able to crack into your information. As info for others: If you've been using Outlook features but are moving from a PC with Outlook to one without it, export the information (both calender and contact data) into a file format that can be read by other programs. All the major free email sites (Yahoo, Gmail, likely many others) offer contact and calendar services that your exported Outlook information can be easily uploaded into. Also, other calendar or contact programs also can be populated with data in the non-proprietary, transportable file formats Owbist, backing up the data is good, but screen captures would mean having to re-input the data in the case of a drive failure. I have exported data files or data in multiple places - two different PCs, a backup drive, my smartphone, and Gmail.

Thanks for all the compliments. Answering a few specific questions: sadiebrooklyn: I don't think we ordered a strainer separately, so it probably came with the garbage disposal. My DH picked that out, so I'd have to double-check, but I'm pretty sure it was the InSinkerator 3/4 hp Evolution. jsweenc: The floor is BR-111 engineered wood, called Amendoim. We had it already in the family, living and dining rooms, and had the same installers come back and extend it into the kitchen. They did a great job -- it's hard to tell where old floor ends and new floor begins. quincin: Yes, to be fair, it's harder to clean the corners than in our old drop-in enameled sink, which was all smooth curves. It's not a real pain in the neck, though... I just have to be sure I run one finger right into each one with a dishcloth. I do it once a day, after putting all the dishes into the DW in the evening. The rest of the time, we use the sprayer on the faucet. We have a zero reveal from our countertop to our sink -- vertically, the sink wall and the edge of the counter above the undermount sink are ligned up. This makes cleaning less of a chore. Do a search for sink reveal on the forum if I'm not writing about this clearly... it's something you'll want to specify when you order your countertop. rjr220: We had your review of the Stages sink printed out when it was time to put ours in, so yes, I do think we live in each others' dream kitchens!
