When I started my research for my kitchen remodel (about three months ago), my initial thoughts were strongly towards Thermador (for the range and refrigerator), and Wolf (I eliminated Viking due to quality concerns, and I hadn't yet heard of many others like BS, American, DCS, Aga, etc.). Then, I noted that Thermador doesn't offer all gas or open burners, and I better understood that my use of the oven didn't require the electronic functions (nor did I want the risk of having them burn out), and I thus eliminated Thermador even though I love the look (but function is much more important to me than style and looks) and it's star-burner shape does make it probably the best of the sealed burner options (ignoring output) IMO. If one wants to be a better cook, and understand the need of function over looks, then I can't see how one can pick Thermador, given the choice. I would pick BS or Wolf all gas instead. I think you might benefit from watching some of the Bluestar cooking videos Trevor has made (http://www.bluestar-ranges.com/Home_Page.html) - even though they mostly compare BS and Wolf, they serve as a nice educational source for learning more about what to look for in a range.

I have the Bosch WFMC5301UC. I love it so far. The heater is active in all cycles except the quick wash, so if you select hot which is 120F then the heater will kick in to obtain and maintain that temp throughout the wash. Other temps are cold 60F, warm 95F, Kids care 150F, and Sanitize at 170F. You can also select the heavy duty option and the machine will fill with cold water only and heat it to the temp you selected, this allows stains to be removed throughout a wide temperature range, this feature is great when you have unkown or multiple stains to deal with. A normal wash cycle is 58 minutes plus or minus a few minutes as the machine will compensate for the load size. The kids care is 1 hour and 28min, and the sanitize is 2 hours. Using the heavy duty option adds 40 minutes to any cycle. Don't let the longer wash times scare you off, your average dirty load of laundry will be cleaned on the warm or hot cycle, but it's nice to have those other options should you have some really nasty laundry to wash. I use the kids care on socks and whites, and let me tell you it whitens them right up. If I had to do it again I would buy it in a heart beat. We also have the matching dryer, it's quiet, and dries great. Just be forwarned that Bosch dryers are not tolerant of bad dryer venting, they have sensors built in, if the dryer overheats if will throw an error code. This is actually a good thing, it warns you of a potential fire hazard. If you go with Bosh make sure your venting is clean all the way to the outside of your home, and that it meets the install instructions for the dryer. You can obtain the owners manual via PDF downloads directly from the Bosch website for both dryers and washers. Hope this helps.

We have a GE Profile slide in with 2 ovens. Love it. Second oven definitely more useful than a warming drawer-

Charles Ross Homes, Bosch brand can be compared to GE on American market quality, it’s not bad but it’s definitely not the quality for the price. 15 years ago when I was in Ukraine their stores were filled with this brand and few others too, on my opinion Bosch isn’t worth invest into. BUT I know many people are drawn by the European look. Well it’s fine as it looks good. So years later when I saw Bosch on American marker I was shocked, how, why and who allowed it here? Glad I found your review which proofs again to stay away from it. Thanks
