Surprise to me, I got an email back this morning from Lexmark noting my input relative both their web page design and to the lack of support for Firefox. Two days, not bad for a web input to a vendor about give-away software. He said they have a lot of request for Firefox support, and are "working" on it. Good for Lexmark!

I believe as long as the packaging is sealed your cartridges are good to use. I would be more concerned with the tiny nozzles on the printer itself gumming up through possible lack of use. Do you get any messages on the screen on the printer? A model number might be helpful in solving the issue too. Have you found the maintenance screen and done a nozzle cleaning and then tried printing a test page?

Yes I did all that.I then went to another web site and it printed the whole page.It seems it does not like the maps and directions that's printed on the mapquest site.Thanks all is well.I got my directions from Bing and the whole page printed.

Other than the printer just might be too old for the newer computer have you had any problems before? I am wondering if the ink cartridge carrier has failed to seat correctly after the last use. Mine showed an "Error 1200" but there was no information suggesting what that error might be. It turned out the carrier failed (regularly so I became an expert fixer) to seat properly. To fix it I had to jamb mt thumb smartly up against the side of the carrier till I heard it click in place. Then it might work for an hour, a day or even a week or more before failing again. At the time this printer was a current model Lexmark listed over 50 models with the same issue yet they never seemed to offer a fix.
