What operating system are you using? Is that the only thing missing? have you tried a simple reboot?

I use windows XP.
I just played with it and now I have the taskbar on the left insteat on the bottom.
Oh, what a mess. The start botton is the only one missing.
I did not reboot.
I don't know if i can get the Pc to start again without
the Start icon.
Pretty pathetic right??
I'm stressing here. LOL

place the mouse on an empty space right on the task bar ok, now hold the left mouse button down, now move the moust to the bottom of the screen while holding the button down the task bar should follow, takes a little practice but you will get. The we can talk about rebooting with out the start button.

When you get their go to the top - Edit - Find - Type in
Restore - click find next. That's how I search this website.

For Firefox the Find Box shows up at the left bottom after you go to Edit and click Find.

I got it back on the bottom.
Still no Start icon.

Close all windows including this one. Now turn the computer off using the power button then turn it back on.

I'm back in business.
It worked.

If you put your mouse on the task bar again "Empty space" now RIGHT CLICK see where it says (lock the TASK BAR), place a check mark there and keep that silly thing from jumping around on you.
