I can't take a closer pic right now, but could if you are interested in this. My mosaic tile came (bought separately) with a corner piece made out of ceramic for outside corners. It coordinated with the many colors in my mosaic and the whole line of tile had those trim pieces. You can barely see the line on the angled tub front that carries up into the leaf tile. It is just like the Schluter trim only ceramic. This is the line of tile if you can locate it and see if the color might go with your subway. There might be other tile lines that have something similar. in the link, click on trim pieces - they are the 1/2 x 6" corners. Then click on the colors link...the white doesn't look too stark. Blondelle, it's the edge meeting at right angles. I've got a few of those - a couple are on half-tiled walls, so I've got to go around the corner *and* finish off nicely on the top edge (and top corner). Then there are a couple of corners that also transition from half-height to full-height in the tub/shower. The "cuarto de cana" (quarter round) and "angulo cuarto de cana" (quarter round corner - can't do the tildes!) pieces, along with some bullnose, would solve the problem for me, but I'm not sure I can get those pieces for my preferred tile (and possibly not even for my less-preferred tile) in time for work to start on 9/29. Bill, I understand how to use bullnose to finish off one side of a corner edge and have the other side butt into it... but how do I finish off the top of the corner when it's a half-tiled wall? Do I just miter the bullnose strips along the top? Can I miter the (possibly glass) border tile beneath the bullnose, and then just use the vertical bullnose/butt technique down the rest of the side? (Hope that made sense... I'm just learning this stuff!)

Thank you all so much! I just talked to the tile guy, and he's going to try mitering the corner. If there's any issue, we can buy the 3x3 double bullnose and run vertical in that area (but the tile is special order so we would need to wait for it to arrive before finishing up). I really, really appreciate the advice. I didn't know what to, and it wasn't even on my radar as something I needed to figure out until the tile started going up and looked wrong. :)

We were going to try it with 4x8in herringbone and 4x16in subway brick to save a little money on the labor since our shower is 6x4ft. I was hoping since it's a larger space and the same ratio it would turn out ok! Fingers crossed, it will still look this good! At what height did you start your chair rail?
