You might look on your hard drive for Programs/Windows Media... Encoder. Or search your drive for WMenc.exe Many PC's come with it. I'm pretty sure its a free download-able. Pretty easy program actually once you fiddle with it for an eternity. You can really get into things with it. Here is a link that might be useful: MS WM Encoder

Owbitz, I don't have a System category on my control panel. There's one for sound, but nothing for device mgr. RavenCajun, Secunia showed that I might have a problem loading Java Applet, but, found no other problems. Question about checking my plug in the back? I haven't a clue where it is located or where it should be. cat, it's good to "see" you, girl! On the digital life site, I ran regedit on the Run command. Under Drivers 32, I found wavemapper to be "regular size" whatever that means! Have no idea how to acquire this driver. I couldn't find it anywhere in my Windows file. Tks to everyone for your advice. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@ace_tx From what I've read a lot of people are suggesting what you said, so I'm thinking that would be a good idea.... can you just help me understand it a bit more? Would I run all four of those wires to where the tv would be in the room? or only 1 rg6 quad coax and 1 6pr cat5e/6 lines to where the tv and they other 2 would be at a different location in the room? (Then of course all those wires would run to the central location, right, and plug into what?, I'm not sure - guess I can figure that out later) Are there any other cables I should have behind my TV in the main viewing area (assuming my dvd player and stuff are in a separate cabinet)? I'm agree with ima- if dh asks innocently there wouldn't be a problem, but to outright question as to judge my decision is unacceptable. Since my SS has seen disagreements handled so badly by watching my husband and his ex, I have no problem letting him see us handle problems in a more constructive manner when it is appropriate, but I don't think it should be a regular event. My SS has a lot going on in his head as it is and likes to read into things and will take on problems he shouldn't be taking on. Plus, if I say something and my dh agrees, my SS always says that my dh is giving in to me so I prefer to make decisions outside of his hearing- at least on the big stuff. It doesn't matter that my dh does have the ultimate say, his son will always feel it was me being the bad guy. Plus, my dh and I discuss everything, even the small things. Since I drive my ss to school every morning, I let my dh know my ss's mood. It's the same the other way around. The other day my husband took his son to the counselor. My dh called me while he was waiting to let me know my ss was acting up. BM had him over the weekend and he came home saying the same things he always comes home saying after more than a night at his moms- being brainwashed EOW must get tiring. I've learned that a lot of communication- even on things that seem small- seem to alleviate a lot of problems. And I always let my dh know when I do something or when something happens- no if ands or buts.
