when videos lag that way it can be due to a slow connection and since you are on dialup that can sure be part of the problem, another would be lack of RAM memory to handle the tasks you are asking of it. give us that info that was asked for so we can get an idea of what you are working with.

what security programs are you using on the pc and are you up to date on all the Antivirus updates as well as your windows updates and java, adobe, etc??

Sox try going to a video site and start the video. Then hit the pause button to stop the play but not the download, this way a buffer can be created. With dialup the download is simply too slow for instant play.

If the video is quite large simply open another window and do something else on the computer while the download completes.

Computer help forums are great places to avoid $260 bills but get a computer back to normal and questions answered in many instances.

Just echoing what others have said about your dialup connection. You will not be able to "stream" videos with a slow dialup connection. Follow Owbist's suggestion about giving the video time to download, and then you will be able to watch the complete video; otherwise it will be just as you described---start, stop---, start, stop--etc.
