Karen, How did I miss SNOW in your area!! I can't believe it. It's snowed here twice that I know of and you are right--we don't know how to drive in that stuff. I wish it would come our way, I was in shorts today mulching the flower beds.

I'll bet it killed your plants.

How fun Karen...I know you and little Maggie had a great time playing in the snow. I thought about May yesterday too as our customers in Houston told us it was snowing there too. Your back seat pal....wait she faked sick so she could have the front seat at PFPP...LOL! Remember the vending machines...LOL Thanks for sharing your cajun snow day with us!! Karen, that's such fun, eh? My sil called me at nine am from the Westbank to tell me about the snow. Her and the kids were so excited that her car was covered with snow. I've watched all the videos on Nola.com to see everyones snow. What a treat!

Enjoy your snow and if you need more, I'll share mine. The snow piles around here look like it must be Febuary. If we don't get some melting soon, I don't know where we're going to pile it...or how.

Karen, loved your picture of the snow and, of course, Maggie. We only got sleet at our home, which was melted exept for the lawn furniture when the sun came up. My last garden plant (bell pepper) I am afraid "bit the dirt." Just hope my meyer lemon tree and lime tree are okay.

Wheeeeee!!!! Snow!!

Yeah, we got snow here too. It started with tiny flurries as I was driving home from work on Wednesday. I had several stops to make and each one saw bigger and bigger flakes. When I got home, it was really coming down. HOWEVER, the ground was just too warm and I guess we just didn't get enough of it for it to stick. It did snow for at least a few hours but no build up.

There was SOME build up in some parts of the city, just not where I am. That's ok. We were talking about it at work yesterday and one person said, oh, when I travel to NY I curse it when it's snowing but here I was just delighted! Then the next person said, yeah, cuz here, it's a joy to feel the flakes coming down but you don't have to deal with it on the ground. That about says it all!

I saw the freaky southern snowstorm on the news! It was amazing to see snow in the French Quarter.

Small snowfalls are so much fun. We already had one and we don't often get snow before Christmas.

I remember being in Colorado in October and there was a blizzard. All I could think was "get me out of here."

I love the pictures. You look terrific.

I hope it snows here in Florida next!! How fun for you!

How fun! It snows here about once every 10 years too, but I've not seen enough to make a snowball! I cannot believe how big Maggie has become! Love Bubbe & Maggie's boots too!

Annie, you are on the wrong side of the lake. I look out my kitchen window and can see the coulds over MI and I know you are getting socked this year. We have about 3 inches down with a ton of ice from Tuesdays storm, but it weill be 50 on Sunday.

I am telling all of you, it was so exciting to share snow with my Maggie. DH took a test tube of snow and froze it so Maggie would always have her "first snow" (rolling eyes). You guys, it really is a big deal that we got snow!!

Hi Karen!! Yes, it was loads of fun wasn't it! I'm over near Baton Rouge and we had 5 inches!!!! Crazy. I posted some pics over in the gallery!

Your granddaughter's little green boots are too cute! The last time we had a real snow, my kids were little guys and of course had no mittens or gloves, so I put socks on their hands to go out and make snowballs!
