Please Advise! Best 30' Gas Range (for now and resale!)
Comments (6)IMO ranges don't make a huge impact on potential buyers but If you want pretty nothing beats Bertazzoni in your price range. Berta Pro in SS $2799 plus $700 if you want color. Better than average durability and decent performance. http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/X304GGV.html If you want name recognition nothing beats Wolf but that is a bit above your price range at about $4k.Number two would be Viking but I would run not walk the other way since your are not selling right away. You don't wan't to deal with the problems. Three would be GE Monogram. If you could find one on deep discount this might be appealing. For performance nothing beats Capital Culinarian and Bluestar RNB. Again a bit above your price range in the $4-$4.3k range plus few hundred more for color. Then there is the Bluestar RCS304BV1 for about $2849. It gives you that hardcore pro look without the power burners and convection of the RNB. Here is a link that might be useful: Bluestar RCS...See MoreBest neutral for resale empty home
Comments (30)We recently moved and hadn't sold a house in 20 years. I also used to be a realtor so am used to working with buyers. However, I never expected what is going on now! People look at a 27 year old house but want brand new everything. No one even wanted to paint their own colors. Our house was in beautiful shape and showed very well. We had total decluttered, fixed the things that needed fixing, and had an excellent price on it.. (Our new house was being built and time was of the essence.). 99%' of the buyers want a home built 27 yrs ago to be exactly like one built in 2016, yet not pay the price. Plus most of them acted like it was their house while they were there- left closets open, toilet seats up, turned some lights off and left others on. We quickly learned to park around the corner from our house where we could see the driveway, so we could rush home the minute they left to get the house ready to show if there was another appt that day. Never again!! We are in our retirement home now in FL and will never have to sell again, thank the Lord. BTW, we had the main rooms in our new house painted SW Worldly Gray. A mix of gray with some beige, light but a great contrast with white trim and cabinets. I highly recommend it. Goes with everything. Bedrooms shades of light blue-green ....See MoreWill high end appliances really do much for resale?
Comments (16)We sold our house last year. It was getting about 5 people going through it a day.. a DAY.. and would not sell. There were people down the road that sold in a day and others that were not getting 5 people a month. We got the traffic due to the beautiful deck. We did not sell due to the counters not being granite. In fact.. it almost did not sell due to popcorn ceilings. The appliances looked new and were only about 4-5 years old... all matching. Rule of thumb, people are finicky. No telling what will float their boat. If you have old crappy appliances, upgrade, but upgrade to the least expensive stainless ones you can, but make sure they match. People do not want old, and they do not want to have to do it themselves. If they see shiny bling.. they will not pick on it as much.. but there WILL be people that will hit you on everything... just do not spend a lot of money on a house you plan to sell. Comments (2)Are you able to post some pictures of the space from different angles? Hard to provide suggestions without seeing your space. My first thought would be your lighting - it may not be bright enough or you don't have enough, etc....See More- 13 years ago
