keep getting IE This page cannot be displayed..

Why do i keep getting this message everytime i try to access a webpage. i can click refresh and the page will come up but it is getting annoying. I have tried googling the problem but have not yet come up with an answer. Thanks for any help

yes if you mean by deleting temp files etc..cookies etc.. i did not delete browsing history of webistes though because i like to keep that.. do i have to click that one too?

Have you tried the link below? Rather than suffer those frustrations why not consider an alternative web browser? Firefox, Opera, Chrome and many more very good programs are available for free. No more hassles. Here is a link that might be useful: Uninstall IE9

Check the postings on the link below to see if any of those help. My wife's computer behaves in a similar fashion and I made an odd discovery. She uses IE7 and if we open one instance of IE7 then click links in emails or on web pages then she could open those pages in a new window, not a tab of IE7. Close both windows and try again with no window already open - it failed to open. Strange. One day......... Here is a link that might be useful: Previous thread on this issue

I would try: Clear the IE cache>Manually type in and enter the site desired>Set the current page as the homepage. I normally use FF with my Vista. However, when I do tinker with IE9 it will report as to blocked sites, expired certificates, and such. It's no big deal as far as I am concerned. What's one click? DA

I'm guessing you're using IE. In IE8 it's tools > internet options > general then under browsing history click the delete button. This gives you a list of things you can delete. Select 'Temporary Internet Files' and unselect the ones you do not want to delete then click the delete button.
