what's your favorite faucet/shower fixture brand and why?
Comments (11)Can't say I have a favorite but here are my experiences. The plumbers I use consistently and repeatedly recommend Delta based on quality and ease of installation. We installed Kohler (Fairfax?) sink faucets and a (Leland?) shower a couple of years ago in the kids' bathroom. We've had no problems or complaints. On the other hand, we installed a Moen (Aberdeen) kitchen faucet about 5 years ago. During the first 3 years something kept happening within the lever such that the water couldn't be turned off - at least not very easily. After having the plumbers fix it a few times I finally called Moen. They imediately sent me an entirely new faucet. That was about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately the same problem is now happening with the new faucet. Bottom line with Moen - the faucet's not been reliable but their customer service has been great. I won't be buying another Moen, though. We ordered some Brizo faucets for a master bath remodel we just started. Brizo is made by Delta so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be good....See MoreWhat's your favorite fashion accessory?
Comments (59)Sunny - I LOVE those boots! I love cowgirl boots too but I'm a bit more conservative style and price-wise with my Ariat Heritage boots - wouldn't mind a pair of those winged ones myself though. When I was in Denver this spring, I lusted after every just about every pair at Cry Baby Ranch. My favorite accessories are scarves and I love my big Silverlake Flap purses by The Sak. Dang Goldy, those Rocketbuster boots are nice but whoa.... way too pricey for my blood. I saw one at a 2nd-hand store and made the mistake of not buying it --- it was gone when I checked back. I love Laurie's cookie jar too. catmom- Those kitties look mischievous. shelayne "she" is beautiful (déja vu) I have 3 favorite accessories: (1) My lunchbox from when I was young. It's new home is on the hutch in the kitchen. (2) My kitchenaid mixer that survived a small kitchen fire and is still working like a charm. I use it almost every day. and (3) the egg beater peeking out of the right cabinet window on the bottom. My students signed it & gave it to me last spring. It may look out of place among the glassware, but it's priceless to me....See MoreWhat's your favorite bath towel?
Comments (4)Forgot to add... they cost about $25ish for a pack of 6 towels for their white hotel towels. I bought some dark brown ones from there for my guest bathroom, they cost more than that but they were still reasonably priced. They always carry the white hotel ones, but I think the other ones are only available part of the year. I mostly only use white towels, and I ONLY buy 100% cotton towels, never any with polyester in them....See Morewilliamsem
