Thanks folks- We got the fixed panel installed today, and it looks great. Man it was stressful though!!! I think I drove poor DH crazy with having to stop every few minutes to carefully think through the next step, and arrange wood/towels/bubblewrap on every hard surface in sight! But its in, plumb and square and looks great. UNFORTUNATELY........ the fabricator seems to have sent the wrong hinges for the door. They seem to be the self-closing 90-degree type, and we needed the adjustable ones for the angled door. Of course they are closed until Tuesday, argh!! (This after they also forgot the setting blocks -which I luckily was able to find at a glass store that was open on Saturdays- so I am not sure I will recommend them. We'll see how they handle the hinge thing. Maybe we are just not seeing how they'd adjust, but I dont think so...) Anyway, I should have been showering in my new shower tonight, but looks like I will have to wait another week! On the plus side- we did not upgrade to Starfire glass (it wasn't offered and I did not think to ask) and after reading about it on GW here, I was worried about the green glass color, but it turns out it looks really, really great with the other palette in the room :) Tomorrow: vanity install! lennym: let me see how this company handles the hinge issue and then I'll post about them. They were the cheapest online vendor I found; maybe in this case you get what you pay for? They've been responsive and helpful thus far, though, and I know they are in the process of moving their showroom this weekend, so it may be a one-time honest mistake...

Thanks for responding so quickly, but perhaps it's too late since it was installed on Saturday morning. Then we had power failure for three days so I just didn't deal with any home stuff. Maybe I will just love with it and be happy that the tile that would have gone on the wall and been more prominent didn't get installed yet. Do you think Akdo makes it's samples that way on purpose because I went to another tile store today and they had the same slate Desert Tan strips that I almost used and the sample was beautiful. The salesperson said she never would have expected how much pink and orange the full sheets would have.

This is a nice set up - just what I'd like to have. The wet area is certainly large enough to put all the shower heads on the interior wall, plus a rain shower (although I might opt for the rain shower to be offset to the left toward the exterior wall instead of in the middle.). Perhaps a long moveable bench on the exterior wall end that could be used to sit under the rain shower?, sorry, that's my preference. If plumbing is on the right wall, I'd also consider changing the hinge side of the door to the other side if code allows. That way you could reach in, turn on showers and get things warmed up in there before having to get in the shower. Please keep in mind that if the plumbing is on the pocket door wall, that wall will be thicker than drawn, and therefore the window over the tub may/will not be centered if left where it is. I also like the symmetry of the vanity and would not turn the corner. I would consider centering that window on the doorway, however, and also consider whether the door to the room is positioned in a way that will result in weird trim behind the door (enough room for the trim you are planning?) Probably more input than you wanted...

We measured the height of the rod in our old hall bathroom before gutting the room so we could try to avoid mounting it as high as that one (that one was 81 1/4" from the floor). I didn't like that a lot of the tub showed below the curtain. Also, the liner didn't hang low enough inside the tub to prevent it from blowing in while showering. We purchased a cheap tension rod at HD the other night because we had to hang something up quickly--I wanted to be able to use the shower yesterday . Will probably try moving it up a bit because it looks a little low for the space (and the liner hangs very low in the tub). Once we determine a good position (that'll take a few go rounds of re-positioning I'm sure!), we can then mark the tile for mounting the permanent rod. Thanks for the advice Sheila (your baths look very nice, BTW!). We're open to more suggestions from the GW gang as well...
