Are you using a provider-specific mail app (like Yahoo Mail or Gmail) or just the general one that comes with it? On an Android device (phone), I find I need to uninstall/reinstall mail apps periodically. I'd try that if you have a specific one from the app store. Otherwise, if you're using the generic app that comes on the ipad, I'd delete your email account info, reboot the device, and then re-enter the email account info as if it were the first time. (sometimes what happens is that the stored info or the app files get garbled, just one wrong memory bit and it can bring the function to a stop)

Thanks Caroline I brought my iPod over to the laptop so I can add some non-games that I use. Utilities Apzilla 2 has all sorts of different utilities, most of them are worthwhile. Some you might never use. Even though Apzilla has it I also have MyLite (a flashlight) and a Free Level program. (a level for hanging pictures straight)and Free Space, a program that tells you how much room is left on your iPod and battery info. Capacity is another program that does this. Free Wi-Fi tells you when you travel where there is free wi-fi you can log into. 5-0 Radio Pro is a fun Police and Fire scanner so you can listen for any calls that come out in your city or even places in your country. My hearing isn't the best and sometimes the talking isn't too clear for me but it is fun listening to the information. It can run in the background. Shopwise is a program that tells you certain deals. I have World Atlas and Google Earth. Book Crawler is a program that lets you keep track of all of your books. iPlant is a gardening book that is quite good. For notes I use Awesome Notes. MyStuff2 is a neat inventory program I haven't used yet. I use IOwn and Iconic Notes, but I don't think either of those are available now. Someday I will transfer everything over. Ian's Laces as Caroline mentioned is fun but there also is a program called Tie a Scarf for women' scarves. Holiday List is also a great Christmas gift planner. AppSniper and AppShopper are two programs I use occasionally. They tell you the new programs that are out. A lot of programs are free for a short time before they start to charge and these programs as well as others will let you know this. I have a lot of medical programs and photography programs as well but this thread is getting long.

Ha!, no teen in that gals house, I was sure I was doing things right, then, I just told her this would be the last I would do, cuz I had eliminated everything else, and she told me she was home and on the regular computer, I could have reached thru the screen and strangled her. she also commented she only knew gmail, and I told her I used FF, chrome, and IE as browsers, and then she "discovered" Ff on the machine! I felt I got suckered into a dilemma, and hope I never run across something like that again. As you said, I do not believe she knows how to operate her device, only the simplest things maybe?, and also that she doesn't know the capabilities of it either. I am not a geek, but I have done a few attachments, etc., in my life. I hope with all of this, she now can work her devices as a regular person. I have a similar problem and even correcting the orientation using Windows Photo Gallery, the photos continue to show up sideways when sent in email or posted here or any other website. Zep, I checked out the link and it does not offer any help. I frankly think it is either some glitch between PC's and Apple or intentional by Apple. You can make all the corrections you want on the PC and the photos are still sideways. What I do now is upload my photos from my Iphone or Ipad to Photobucket and make the corrections there. I then copy the photo and paste them to my computer. Its ridiculous to have to go through all those steps but I haven't found a way around the problem. Jane
