Thanks tcstoehr!! The Crabapple is on the other side of the house... Some places I read say the trees need to be within 50 feet and others say 100 feet... I guess the crabapple won't hurt having it there...I thought it might be too far away to pollinate but I guess we will see. That tree is flowering right now though. I am much more clear now... I guess I did luck out because I picked through all the trees and the ones I got are over 6 feet tall and they were not too expensive...And very nice looking. I drove my hubby crazy at the store looking though all the trees for ones that were as close to perfect as I could get :) Now should I tell hubby I don't need another pollinator and go buy another tree anyway :) lol I just love the idea of having all these fruit trees in my yard and I don't care how much work they are to maintain, I love to do it! Plus my kids get so excited, they check the cherry tree a lot to see if any of the little green cherries are red yet. I guess I need to net that thing so the birds don't eat them all! Karen

Have you ever heard of those "Debbie Meyer Green Bags" that are advertised on late-night infomercials? Believe it or not, those dumb things really do work very well, and keep produce fresh a lot longer. AND, they have now been copycatted by other brands and even as cheap knockoffs. I have been buying packages of them at the dollar store (generally 5 bags for a dollar), and those even work. I was able to keep Asian pears fresh a whole year in them. Apples (Ark Black, Red Delicious, Stayman Winesap) will keep into about June or July. The only drawback I've found to these is that, once you take the produce out of them, it does go downhill fast, like in a week. Overall, I think it's a really good product and it really helps. I put a link to them at the Ace Hardware site, just to show you the product, but you can buy them locally much cheaper than this. Do you mean store specific? Or that has icons for all the items? If you just mean written lists, any app that allows you to have several lists open at once would work, even the built in Notes app (that's what I mostly use). In Notes, create a note for each store and select that note to add an item to the list. If you want something of the sort, but more powerful, look under Productivity and Organization. Maybe something like Listaway or Evernote. The basic Reminders app lets you share your lists through the cloud. If you want to share lists with a partner, AnyList is a good choice. I'm pretty sure it allows multiple lists, but I think you could also use customized subheaders for the different stores. I haven't looked at it recently. It has organization by department within a list, with autofile, and does some high level tricks like recipe import. "Groceries" app is a little clunkier, but for sure does multiple lists, and has autofile and autocomplete, but I don't know if those will work on the hardware, et al. Pushpins includes offers from major stores. I used to have a great app for this that was for entertaining, but I can't remember the name, and I don't have my phone to look it up. There are errands managers. Errands To-Do List would work, but I think it's clunky, and I'd rather just use Notes, but it's the best one I've seen in this category. Some of the above also let you scan bar codes, but I find spelling it out is easier. I got Amazon Echo when it was first out to see if my folks would like it. It's not all that useful, really, but what I like enough to keep using it is that it has a shopping list function. You can be up to your elbows cooking, and tell it to put something on the shopping list. The list can be accessed from your phone or tablet (Fire or Apple, I think). It's just one list, but like having a kid around to write it down. :) It will also read back the list. :)

I took my (used) iPhone to my AT&T store to have it set up. If I ever need anything done to it I hope I can go to my store. I'm due for a new phone (still rocking 4s). I'm not sure what I'll do when I need a new computer. The closest Apple store is about 50 miles away. Not impossible but not really enjoyable. Tech issues really frustrate me. As in makes me want to cry or punch something frustrates me. It's one thing I cannot stand to be bothered with. I still say Windows is way more user friendly. My biggest complaint with my Mac is their folder system. I have a very organized way of how I keep my pictures in folders and I it seems more complicated the way I have to click and open, etc. on the MAC. I'm used to it but don't like it. I don't care for their Photos app. The only truly appealing thing to me is the smooth operation. If Microsoft were that way I'd switch back in a heartbeat. Maybe I just need a higher quality computer of theirs? I remember reading how things have gone downhill in recent years with Apple quality. Not sure what I'll do when it comes time for something new.
