Thanks for your help and for the compliment! The tile is a ceramic faux travertine, 3 by 6 made by Cenit. I got the pattern idea from a display at the tile place where I shop. Never would have thought it would work if I hadn't seen it myself. I've put up another pic--the wall color is BM Pearl Harbor--I might repaint it in BM's Guesthouse. Your shower is also gorgeous! I don't think I'll have a door that goes up to the ceiling. Looks great in your bathroom, but mine is a bit smaller and a full-length door might mean there's a little too much steam in my shower. In this case, would you still recommend a soffit? Thanks!

ksmosaicnut: Ditto here on the search for a narrow French door fridge. LG and Samsung are the choices, it seems. However, we've had two Samsung fridges in the past (two different homes; one single door with lower freezer and one French door) and LOVED them both, esp. the dual compressor feature, so we'll no doubt go with Samsung again. Deciding now whether to spring for the ice/water through the door (it's a lovely problem to have!). Best to you.

If you look closely at the pictures, you'll see chrome channel on the top of the pony wall and up the right side of the shower, which is what attaches the glass piece above the pony wall. The door is frameless, but I was told that the best structural support for the glass on the pony wall was to use channels, and I didn't want clips on the top part of the pony wall because of the water. Because I used chrome, I find that the channels are barely noticeable; that wouldn't be the case with other finishes. I would also think about how you want the door to open. For a long time, I thought I wanted the hinges for the door to attach to the glass above the pony wall, but my glass company convinced me that there were two problems with that. First, it would put too much strain on the glass above the pony wall and wasn't structurally the best idea (I would have to either add clips for the glass above the pony wall going into the ceiling or have a channel running across the entire top of the glass). Second, they convinced me that I'd want it hinged on the left so that I could open the door inward while getting out of the shower in order to prevent water from dripping on the floor and to be able to reach a towel on the towel hook. That wouldn't work if the hinges were on the right because the door would smack into the shower head/valve trim.

We built in 2021 and ended up with 5 multi-sliding doors from Euro-wall. We needed impact/hurricane rated doors. All of ours are 10 ft high to fit our 12 ft ceilings. Our largest is 6-panels and 18 ft wide. We also have 4-panels that are 12 ft wide and 2-panel that are 6 ft wide. Very happy with them, except one is missing weather stripping and we have been waiting forever for the window/door dealer to send their warranty crew out to make the repair.
