Hi, zep, I can get my definitions update...I am thinking that this pop up is notifying me about a software update? I'm sorry, I wasn't clear on that. exgm, I followed your link and I am set up as a home group. I am the only administrator as far as I know. When I first set up the computer, the setup process asked me to type in my name...I thought that was naming myself as the administrator? ...I was doing some looking around to see if I could provide any more information. I opened up Properties for SAS and there is a tab there titled COMPATIBILITY. I opened it and there is a checkbox there that says Run this program as an administrator. Will it solve my problem if I check it?

A couple of tracking cookies is not going to affect your computer's speed. A more likely culprit is the programs you have running in the background. Typically, as you add software to your computer, like RealPlayer, etc., these programs set themselves to startup every time you boot up your computer. Go to Run, type in "msconfig" (without the quotes), click on the Startup tab, and uncheck any things you don't need starting up and running in the background...like Adobe, Quicktime, Realplayer, etc. Then click on "Apply" and "Ok," and then restart your computer. See if that helps any.

Linda J, That just means that there is an issue with the webpage you are accessing. Unless you are a web developer, anytime you see the words "My SQL" in an error, it means that the webpage has a problem. Nothing wrong with your computer where this message is concerned. Pam

I think WOT has more to do with a site's trustworthiness (mostly?) as reported by other WOT users? I find it especially useful when searching for info. I mean when I get a whole page of search results, sites I know nothing about, I look down the list, and I see "Green lights", "Yellow lights", and "Red lights". I get some sort of clue as to which are safe to follow though on, and which I should probably avoid. I usually take time to rate and review as "Questionable" any site that I find spamming it's product, spyware or not. Here is a link that might be useful: WOT videos.
