It is indeed unfortunate that you contracted a virus on your system. Historically free sites for fonts, smilies and music lyrics are high on the list for malicious activity. Users should check these sites out before downloading from them.

Just a tip that might help in the future. Whenever I download a file, regardless of how safe the site is or seems, I always save it to my Desktop and do a virus scan on it before installing. Now this may not help you from picking up a Trojan or some malware just from visiting a bad site, but at least it helps prevent damage from a file you've downloaded.

you can also scan with malwarebytes any file you download and save to your pc prior to opening it just right click on the file then choose scan with your antivirus and malwarebytes be sure you have updated your AV and malwarebytes
