Schluter trim
Comments (3)The tile setter used schluter on the outside edge of my schower but just used the tile edge around the niche and it looks great. The tiles are rectified. The niche is perfectly rectangular, it looks off because of the angle of the picture....See MoreSlightly off topic - paint color question
Comments (2)My house is painted many colors and all our trim is BM white dove (or is it dove white?) I found that is can look "white" against some colors, such as gray or yellows, and have a slightly creamy finish against others (blue, pink.) I had china white on all my trim in my last house - it also looked great - but a little grayer but you really only noticed that when it was compared to a purer white swatch....See MoreSchluter strips versus bullnose tile?
Comments (16)I had never heard of Schluter trim before, but know what it is now that I just had my kitchen backsplash tiled. The tile contractor said he was measuring for tile and bullnose when he came out, but when his guys did the job, they used the Schluter product. In an older, classic Colonial home. Filled with antiques. With subway tile. I am LIVID. They ran out of field tile on Friday afternoon and left for the weekend, and I haven’t yet had a chance to talk to the owner or his wife, who is useless. She actually called to ask if I would schedule them on short notice due to a cancellation and then blew me off without calling when another job ran over. Alarm bells should have gone off, but I’m apparently stupid because stuff like this keeps happening to me. I suspect they used the Schluter either because they forgot to order bulnose (all of 5 feet would have been enough) or because it’s faster to install. Or both. Maybe it’s ok in a modern house or contemporary installation, but it looks terrible in my very traditional kitchen....See MoreBacksplash tile bullnose/pencil trim advice
Comments (16)Well anything is better than what we have. They’re old floral tiles lol. We’re doing blue pearl granite countertops. We have ugly laminate yellow right now. Eh trends come and go, but I really like the look. It’s also One of the only backsplash tiles my boyfriend agreed to I do like the stainless steel tile. We’re using a pro so I’m assuming they know that it has to be installed before the backsplash? I’ll bring it up I guess just in case? Hoping I can find something slightly less expensive since we have a budget....See Morecat_mom
