Photobucket problems

I am having a problem getting to my pictures in Photobucket. I can't get there, altho other people tell me they have no problem on their computer.

When I google Photobucket.com, or click on the shortcut on my desktop, it seem to start to find it, then just quits and I get a blank white screen, save the tool bar on top, and a toolbar on the bottom. It doesn't find photobucket, no matter how long I let it set there.

This is driving me crazy, I can't even get to PB to ask why I can't access my pictures.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Does this link open Photobucket or is it still the same.

I had trouble with Photobucket opening for me earlier today.

I shut the computer off and restarted it, and then all was fine.

Free accounts on photobucket are allowed 500 MB which allows for quite a few pictures. I just checked mine and I have 628 pictures there and am using 22% of my allotment. I don't think they would block you out of your account if it was full. They would just let you know you couldn't upload more until you deleted some. Maybe emptying your browser cache would help.

Hi Jeff, You can send me a screen shot and I'll see if I can maybe help. I know P-bucket changed some things a while back and the link I had saved was in a different (not much liked) format, until a clicked on a link. I then saved that new link to my favorites. I hope others will also post, since I may not be of much or any help. I'll email you via GW since you have your setting to show email addy to NO ONE. If you don't get ir (as GW email has not been very reliable in the past) just drop me an email. You can see my email addy on the GW email form. Sue

I haven't been having any problems with my photobucket account although I notice one thing seems to have changed. In the past, when I clicked on the 'html' link it automatically copied it. Now, I have to click on the picture to open it in Photobucket, then select and copy the html link. Then I can paste it directly into a message. Try that and see if it works for you. This is a test:

All you do is open a different browser. I prefer Opera, and have K-meleon (very similar to Mozilla & Netscape) and Firefox, and it depends on the use as to which I'll use. I have been trying out Chrome too but haven't used it much. Just install it, and open it up. Set the preferred browser to be your default browser and it'll automatically open that browser when it's needed. Each program has a setting in the preferences to check to see if it's the default browser. Otherwise if you have a file on your machine that is .htm or .html (among others), right click that file and click "open with", choose the browser and check use that program every time. Also, whenever things act goofy, it's a good idea to do some maintenance. Start by doing a disk cleanup, run a virus scan, malware check, disk check and defrag your hard drive. Oh, and if it acts goofy, reboot. A simple reboot solves a myriad of problems.

Randy's link opened fine for me, but I have Photobucket bookmarked at the page where I can start working. That is, it comes up where you see browse, upload, and the list of my albums. Don't have to log in there; I'm ready to go.

I have the shortcut on my desktop, and I don't have to log in there either. Except that I can't get there!

I can't even get there if I google PB! Clicking on it from my computer just doesn't work, and I don't have a clue why not!

The link doesn't work. It is just the same.

This is worse than I thought! I can't even view pictures posted on GW that are hosted at PB. I get the Red X, with a note that says 'hosted by Photobucket. When I right click, then click 'show picture', I get the same white screen.

I can't even email them!

Tripped across this post while researching this as I had this same issue. After much playing around I determined that any computers I had using DHCP from my router worked fine, but any that I had the router's address hard-coded for DNS using the router's address (in my case 192.168.1.1) could not access photobucket. I changed the DNS servers to the ISP's servers and it works again. You could also set your computer to use DHCP and accomplish the same thing. If that doesn't solve your issue, then your ISP probably has the same problem, call them. Good luck.
