I downloaded Foxit awhile back and have no trouble getting things from website,s. Just wish I could get rid of Adobe I tried Add/Remove and get the following. "This patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exsists and that you access it, or contact the application vender to verify that this is a windows installer patch package". I really don,t know how to find patches ect the computer tells me I have Adobe 7.0.7

I dont have it installed so I cant look to see where it starts from at boot but it would be in the registry under one of the Run keys, or it might be in all users or maybe user start up folder which maybe have it listing under Start/All Programs/StartUp. That link in your graphic is on your start menu & is just that, a link, to lauch the program manually - Acrobat runs in the background since the past few versions because so many people had complained it takes too long to start. As you can imagine, that large of a program doesnt just pop to attention when needed if they don't partially load it at boot.

I use Embird in conjunction with my Amazing Box. I have to use Embird to do any editing I want to do, and then use the Amazing Box software to write to the AB card. I think Embird interfaces directly with the Ultimate Box. I don't know if you can do the same 2 step operation with PED Basic or not...but since you can get a free trial of Embird you could download it and see if it will work. Donna

I have the Pandigital novel reader tablet and I also have a lookbook ereader. I absolutely love the pandigital and am so glad to have it, I can do so much on it since it is not just a reader but also a tablet, surf, email, listen to music, videos and pictures lots of stuff and since it uses epub format it also works with overdrive and the library and so many of the free book sites. I highly recommend it. And since it is an android tablet you can add many of the android apps including other reader apps like the kindle app so on this one tablet you can read various formats. I love the feature that is night read I can read with absolutely no lights on and not bother anyone. the lookbook is just an ereader it is exactly like the litarati by sharper image made by the same company and I got it at CVS on sale for $49 which was a real steal. I would not get any reader that is discontinued they are moving very fast in doing upgrades and updates so getting the latest version is absolutely the best idea.
