Prescriptions from Canada

I have an 86 year old neighbor who I am helping out. Her husband had a stroke, and she is disabled, so I'm running errands, cooking, etc. I picked up a prescription for her tonight and it was $195.00 WITH her "insurance"!!! That is a crime!!!! It's a ProVent inhaler, made by Glaxo Smith Kline. I checked out their website, and she does not seem to qualify for any of their programs - it appears you have to have NO prescription insurance to get any help.

I've heard about buying from Canadian pharmacies online for prices 50 - 75% less than the US. Does anyone have personal experience with this? I would love to be able to help her out...she is only half-dosing herself so she can make it last 2 months :(
