free label making program

I need to make labels for 1 lb. packages of coffee. My partner used to make them using some Adobe program but he's out of the picture now so I will be making the labels myself. I know there are some programs that come with illustrations to use but I want to be able to use one of my photos on the label. Any suggestions?

If you were to google "label software free" you would find a multitude of responses.

My printer does it without extra software. I even make my business cards. I add small images and borders. I did it on works, but I just checked and Word does it also. You just have to buy the label paper.

Found a list of different softwares but it didn't have much info on it. Downloaded DriveImage XML and a couple others. I'll give it a try and see how it works out. Thanks for your recommendation.

I detest recommending anything from Microsoft, but Publisher is a good all-around program. You want a sheet of labels all the same? You do one and pick the format. It also does a lot of things since it's a desktop publishing program. I tend to use PageMaker, Publisher and occasionally Word. Depends on what I'm doing and the mood.

DE pesticide free label

Do your customers really know or understand what the additives are? I would be great if they do, but I have found that most consumers are not that concerned about this. using signage that states it is pesticide free is enough for most consumers. IMO if the consumer is knowledgeable about pesticides, they will probable grow there own food. There is a lot of bad information about GMO, hybrids, roundup etc. Too much info to the consumers will lead to spending market time explaining chemicals instead of selling product. Selling products is the most important part of this game!!!!!

If you have MS word they have all the templates for the various labels from the office store and you can import graphics. That is how I do it and it's so easy. Mary

Avery has lots of templates. Their labels are easy to find and easy to use.

You can use the templates in MS Word - or they have an online designer that is a snap to use.

Here is a link that might be useful: Avery online Print and Design - FREE!

If you have word then all the templates are built in. On the pack of lables will be a number. When you are in the lable section of word just scroll down to find that number and there is your template. Mary
