Here's my slideshow. I hope you all enjoy and laugh as much as I have over the years. We really have had some fun!

Great to see your photos Karen! And happy to have been a little help. You have some great pictures there!

I'm adding mine here on the link below, and my slideshow is PASSWORD PROTECTED so that it can't be found by Google or other searchers, just in case there are privacy issues with anyone.

The slideshow speed control is in the top left of the screen....slow....med...fast.

The password is: gwcookies

Here's the recipe for the pie. And yes, I'm sure you can use pecans. It's very much like a pecan pie. I found that the center was not completely "solid" at the end of baking time, but it firms up after cooling. Deanna Honey-Walnut Pie Ingredients: pastry for 9" one-crust pie, (see 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup corn syrup 1/2 cup honey 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups walnut pieces Directions: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare pastry. Beat remaining ingredients except walnuts with hand beater in medium bowl. Stir in walnuts. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate. Cover edge with 2" strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning; remove foil last 15 minutes of baking. Bake 45-55 minutes or until set. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until chilled. Immediately refrigerate any remaining pie.

How about Chicken Piccata? There is a little parmesan cheese in the recipe, but its not a dominating ingredient. I serve it with noodles or rice. Chicken Piccata Recipe (from www.simplyrecipes.com) Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes Yield: Serves 4. Ingredients 2-4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (1 1/2 pound total) 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese 1/3 cup flour Salt and pepper 4 Tbsp olive oil 4 Tbsp butter 1/2 cup chicken stock or dry white wine 3 Tbsp lemon juice 1/4 cup brined capers 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley Method 1 Cut the chicken breast halves horizontally, butterflying them open. If the breast pieces you are working with are large, you may want to cut them each into two pieces. If the pieces are still thick after butterflying, put them between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound them with a meat hammer to 1/4-inch thickness. 2 Mix together the flour, salt, pepper, and grated Parmesan. Rinse the chicken pieces in water. Dredge them thoroughly in the flour mixture, until well coated. 3 Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet on medium high heat. Add half of the chicken pieces, do not crowd the pan. Brown well on each side, about 3 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the pan and reserve to a plate. Cook the other breasts in the same manner, remove from pan. Cover with aluminum foil and keep warm in the oven while you prepare the sauce. 4 Add the chicken stock (or white wine), lemon juice, and capers to the pan. Use a spatula to scrape up the browned bits. Reduce the sauce by half. Whisk in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Plate the chicken and serve with the sauce poured over the chicken. Sprinkle with parsley. How about chocolate cupcakes for dessert? Super Easy, Super Moist Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe (from www.simplyrecipes.com) Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 20 minutes Yield: Makes 12 cupcakes. The coffee (and the salt) help intensify the flavor of the chocolate. If you don't have or don't want to use coffee, just skip it and use water instead. If you do use coffee, just use what would be considered regular strength coffee (or slightly weak coffee) in America, not something super concentrated like espresso. If caffeine is an issue, use decaf. If you want to make a cake instead of cupcakes, double the recipe and use two 8-inch round cake pans and cook for 35-40 minutes. Ingredients Cupcakes: 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup brewed coffee (or 1 cup of warm water mixed with 1 1/2 teaspoons of espresso powder or instant coffee granules) 1 Tbsp white vinegar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 6 Tbsp (1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp) olive oil Frosting: 4 Tbsp butter 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar 3 tablespoons milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Method Cupcakes: 1 Preheat oven to 350°F with a rack in the middle position. Prepare a muffin tin with cupcake liners. 2 In a large bowl, vigorously whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt until there are no visible clumps (cocoa tends to clump up). 3 In a separate bowl, mix together the coffee (or water plus coffee granules), vinegar, vanilla extract, and olive oil. 4 Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir only until they just come together. The mixture should be thin and rather lumpy. 5 Ladle the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds of the way full. Place in oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until a bamboo skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. 6 Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove from pan and let cool on a rack. Once cool, you can eat plain, sprinkle with powdered sugar, or drizzle or coat with frosting. Frosting: While the cupcakes are cooking, make the frosting. Melt butter in a small saucepan and remove from heat. Stir in the cocoa until smooth. Sprinkle in about a third of the powdered sugar, stir, then sprinkle in about a half of the milk. Keep alternating with the powdered sugar and either milk or vanilla, stirring after each addition, until the frosting is the consistency you want, and smooth. If it's too runny, add more powdered sugar. If too stiff, add a little more milk or vanilla extract.

Karen I laughed, but it also brought tears to my eyes. We have had soooo much fun at our get-togethers. I miss all my cooking friends. We have got to get together again soon!

Wow, what fun! Some of the faces I'm familiar with but others took me by surprise. (You know how you get a mental image and then it's blown to pieces when you see a pic?) It's great how many of you have actually met in person!

Anyone about to look at Karen's don't do the mistake I did - spend 10 minutes watching a fuzzy slideshow before noticing the HQ button. Duh!

Thanks both of you. Like I said, that was fun.

I just finished looking through this album a second time. I saw things I didn't catch the first time. Outstanding job.

What I did notice and appreciate was that the album ended with a picture of dear Janet, we miss you Janet!

Karen, this is so cool and a great idea. I'm loving seeing all the pics from over the years... your show too Sharoncb. I've been lucky to meet and spend time with some of y'all and look forward to meeting others in the future. Like Sherry mentioned, it's time....

I remember pics from the time y'all spent with Janet....wasn't there a few pics in a joint on the beach with a famous cake...maybe a train that ran around the ceiling of the place???

I don't know how to do a slide show but will try to share a few pics that I have. I'm still so glad to have found this site and great group of friends......pics or not!

Thank you Karen and Sharon for all of your hard work! Although a couple of those shots of me could have found the delete button! LOL Sadly, I'm reminded how many pounds I needed to lose and how much more weight is left. My vanity is showing...

It was great to see Canny Camp gang and some of our old friends, where have they gone? RIP Janet!

You know Cathy, I think I forgot my camera that weekend as I can't seem to find any pictures of our time together. Danggit!

I do remember pics of the individual cakes and of Jane...

I may have to really dig around and see if I can find them. Although, I think they were taken with an old camera (first digital) and I'm not sure where those particular pics are.

I LOVE this. Thank you both so much for putting these together. I can see that I have to get out more because I only showed up in one. I also have some pics from our last Philly get together with Caliloo, LPink, Ghoghunter (Joanne) and me.

I especially enjoyed seeing the pictures of Barnmom. I always wondered what Alice's mom looked like. Very pretty. IN fact, there were a number of faces I don't think I saw before.

Another thing I notice is that a lot of you (not me) got thinner. That is very encouraging!

Barnmom I still have 15 of our baby or as young child photos.
I can add them on to my slideshow if nobody minds.

I cannot view River's slides, guess my computer is too old and I need something that I don't have.

Sharon, sure go ahead and add that pic if you want, but it really doesn;t matter. The show is nice as it is. I have a picture of me as a 4 year old in a cowgirl outfit. I love that picture. I'll send it for the baby slideshow.

Well, I got to view most of Karen's slideshow at work (in between patients calling...geez, don' they know I have pic to look at! LOL) Great photos, great memories! Thanks for sharing!

Haven't seen yours yet, Sharon, but I will! As soon as I get near a high speed connection!

FWIW we should be getting DSL here in the "toolies" in October. I can't wait to look at WFD threads again! LOL

Karen , Sharon what a great job! I loved everyone of the pics. Such memories.....not just of get togethers but of the people who have shared so much of themselves ,on this forum, over the years. I miss so many of those folk.

Runs in my mind Gina had a slide show too...Gina?

Baby pictures were so much fun but whoever has the baby pics, don't post the names! See who can figure it out. Woodie knows which one I am..... something to do with a long forgotten shampoo! LOL

I have those baby pics I mentioned. I could post them just with numbers as we did so long ago, trying to guess the names to go with the photos. Heheheh!

What a WONDERFUL gift to the forum. Seeing all those great people was so heartwarming. Such beautiful people too! The smiles are the BEST. And those pics of Janet and Larry . . . sweet Janet is sorely missed that's for sure. Thanks you so much Sharon and Karen for doing this!!!!!
