What operating system are you using? If your missing that "About" feature, seems like something is wrong, open and close windows media player, reboot the computer, see if you can get that feature back. Windows Media Player 12 comes as part of Windows 7. "In Step 4, you have choice to choose selected file type to play as default with Windows Media Player. You need to click on "Choose defaults for this program" and then select file types that you want to associate with Windows Media Player." See link below,for more on above. You may have a borken EXE file association problem, probably from the Malware. The computer should be taken to a malware removal forum for further analysis. Broken EXE associations will show up in more thorough scans used by those forums. In the mean time here's a link for fixing the EXE association issue in Vista. OK, thank you so much for this great help. Open Office is installed and I now can open the attachment on the laptop. However, the document I typed on my own computer had a lot of tabs in it, and everywhere I tabbed, there is a wide blue line the length of the tab on the version I can see on the laptop. Is there any to get rid of the blue line? Again, I very much appreciate your help.
