Understanding BCCodes - computer locking up.

Windows XP SP2 - all updates current.

I am having trouble getting my computer to start up.

Yesterday it would lock up, and I would try to reboot - but it continues to lock up after the reboot.

The first couple of times I got the "recovered from a serious error" message and the BCCodes. I have written down the codes - but can't find anything dealing with those specific numbers when I do a google search. Is there anyplace that can explain what these are for?

Last night I did get an error stating:

"ati2dvag display driver has stopped working normally" - then directing me to reboot. I did - and did not get this message again. I know that this has something to do with the video drivers or graphics card.

Is it possible that I my graphics card has gone bad?

Would this cause my computer to lock up?

As soon as I try to start any program - the computer locks up.

I tried to start it in safe mode, but it also locked up then.

Any direction or tips would be appreciated...let me know if I need to post any other details.

I am using a different computer to post this - I can get online on my other, but I locks up shortly after.
