The more I think about it, without an emotional or 'girlie' response, the more I CANNOT believe GW would be allowing malware knowingly! If they have a sponsor ad with it in it, I hope they will do all they can to dispense with it and those responsible for it!! Cyber *intrusion* is a reality I'm afraid and most of us will encounter some level of it if we are actively using our computers. The most we can do, is make sure our protection is always updated (I failed to do that on one) and that we take the next step from 'free' to a more advanced protection (I've done that) and be sure we have them properly registered when we go that next step (failed to do that with Malwarebytes, as I mentioned before). As I pointed out, Malwarebytes did not proactively 'block' the IP I detailed above until I not only had gone the next level, but registered it then BINGO--there it was!!!

Zep, thanks sooo much for your prompt reply, and for your link. Wow, you are fast. Think it sure looks like it is a false positive. That makes me feel alot better. I tried posting earlier, but I guess my security was up too high, and was not allowing cookies. I've got alot to learn.... I do have a 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium, though it says Windows 6.1 build? Intel Core 2 Duo P 7450 @ 2.13 Ghz with 6 Gb ram. I am not having any problems. I just know that your forum highly recommends Malwarebytes. I have used it in the past, just hadn't had time to install it on my new one. I have Window Firewall. Is that good enough? I plan to set up a new Linksys network. I will review some of the posts about setting up a new network. Is Trend Micro Antivirus a good program? I do have a new external HD to back everything up, but I have a question that I will post in a new post. Thanks again for your help.

malwarebytes instructions Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. * At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. * Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan. * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. I sometimes get that message when I have a loose connection, either with my cable modem or the Linksys router. It will clear after checking the connections and/or pushing the reset button. Just my 2 c's. Bejay
