Best way to insulate acrylic tub so it will retain heat?

I read on this forum that we should insulate our new acrylic tub, but our plumber said he's never done that. So I just want to be able to say specifically what he needs to do. From flyleft 's posting I think we need to (1) spray foam window insulation on the back of the tub and (2) stuff the cavity underneath the tub with insulation. Any other details I need to know? Specific type of insulation? "kraft paper" facing a certain direction? Any help would be much appreciated!

by the way, our other new tub, for the kids' batroom, will be cast iron, thanks to the advice I picked up on this forum!
