Yes, that's what I needed. Outlook is the client or 'application'. The fix is made within the browser, I am assuming IE8 or 9. Click on Tools from the toolbar in Internet Explorer 8 (or 9) and select Internet Options . Then select the Programs tab from the top of the window to access the default browser settings. Click on the 'Make default' button, you can even choose to be alerted if Internet Explorer is not your default browser. Click OK to save your changes. Close IE and try again to access your hyperlinks. There is also a Microsoft 'Fixit' for this if the first step is unsuccessful. unfortunately that was part of the change with hotmail and I hate it, used to just copy and paste any url in there and it made it a clickable link automatically but now you have to put the url in the email then you have to hilight the url then go up to the tool line of the email and click on the insert link icon (looks like a globe with a chain in front of it) that opens a box in that box you paste the url and click ok (you have to remove that http that is already in the box first) then when you go back to the link in the email it will turn into a clickable link. What an ordeal to have to go through when before all it took was simply pasting it in. I can not imagine how they can think this is an improvement. When you are doing long lists of links it is unbearable to do and is why I have other email clients I use for those. However if you use it with IE instead of firefox apparently you do not have to do all that, I do not use IE. It is one of the most complained about issues with the change in hotmail.

My email is not working. It's very old, out of date and I have asked ATT to shut it down-I was paying $22 every month for nothing but spam messages. My friends all know my phone number if they need to reach me. And I get all the jokes here on Kitchen Table or You Tube.
