It sounds like what you are saying is that your GP page is opened part way and you are still missing the bar at the bottom. The little square you are talking about is at the top of my window and nothing is on the bottom except the bar. You have two options you can try.You haven't said anything about the tool bar on top so I'm guessing it's there. If so, click on "view" and click on tool bars and make sure "status bar" is checked If it isn't,that bottom bar will disappear from your GP window. See if that works for you.

Toolbar wasn't locked. Whats a vertical drag bar? And how would I drag open the address bar if I don't have or see one? Sorry, I'm obviously very inexperienced and confused. I do remember moving a "separator" to inactive because I couldn't see it or know what it did. So I've put it back but still dont see anything there. (By the way, because I didn't see it I added it again and the word separator went in again.But still don't see anything.) Please don't laugh. I'm really trying.Thanks, Sandy

"LOL" Cboy yep I am quick for sure. Ha! I followed your instructions and then I rebooted to make sure those icons would stay in place. Before I posted here I wanted to make sure that everything was working normal, after I rebooted walla those icons came back. "Smiles" Thank you so much for your help. This was a simple fix but I didn't know it at the time. I right clicked on the desktop to find that the backround had been changed, so I changed that but I had forgotten how to get the icons back. I still don't know how the backround got changed and my right clicking on the desktop was a stab in the dark, but when I did that I remembered to check the backround and that is when I discovered that what I was thinking was a white screen turned out to be an internet wallpaper backround. Myself I don't like that even being there, it gives you a false impression of something being wrong because it shows a white screen with gray lines. I ran into this problem a few years back. Trying to remember what I did. I think I went to the Computer Forum and they told me. I remember I had to erase all cookies. Run a scan by using CCleaner and tell it to remove cookies. Then type in the address bar gardenweb.com. Log in using your old name/password. I think that's what they told me to do on Computer Forum. I remember having to erase all cookies to Houzz and log in to Gardenweb.com. Don't log into Houzz. Jane
