lotodig- Just so you're more confident, I've re-booted my computer many times over the years using the technique I've described. Several times, for example, my cursor has frozen so I couldn't navigate to do anything, such as re-boot normally. I didn't always know why some problem was happening, but I did know that the power button re-boot would not make anything worse. Usually the only time you can have a problem is if you decide to do a re-boot/re-start of any kind in the middle of some major activity where you are making changes to the computer, such as installing updates or doing a defragmentation. However, in the other 99.9% of cases, all you're doing is cleaning out the RAM of some unexplained little problem and starting fresh.

Did you report it to the police? Obviously with calls being made on it, it's not lying around the house somewhere unless it autodials itself! I keep mine in a holster on my belt unless it's being charged. The good thing is that a basic phone is cheap to free. It's just the hassle. Hope you didn't have any private data in there. Whoever has it though has all your contacts which is not good. That's why I'd have called the police as soon as I knew it was stolen. How it happened? Who knows, but it probably just fell out of your pocket or purse. Could have been sitting in a cart and someone found it there and used it instead of turning it in. I too use prepaid. No way will I pay contract prices! A cell isn't my life - it's a convenience for which I'll pay a few dollars a month but not $40, $60, $100 or more! But that's beside the point. One thing I did was put in "ICE" numbers and then I gave the very first number in my contacts the title "If Found Please Call.." and I have my forwarding number so if someone hones finds it, there's a chance to get it back. A friend gave me that idea when her phone was left in a store, was turned in to the service desk by an honest person and the store clerk looked in the contacts and saw "home", called it and talked to her husband. Was able to page her in the store and she got her phone back before knowing it was gone! One thing though, I won't put my home number in there. I also don't put peoples' full names in there. Sometimes initials, at most, nicknames. Some people keep way too much personal info in a cell phone, especially for other people and once lost, it can fall into the wrong hands. Some keep name, address, phone #, birthday, anniversary and more! A crook's dream.

hi chocolatebunny... i've been thinking of you, too! i wouldn't give up just yet. your sq footage is 8 ft, but what are the dimensions of your island? would a vanity size fit that? i am sure SOMEONE can fabricate a vanity equivalent for you, even from a remnant. i found my fabricator totally by accident. i was googling something about cambria, and i found a forum he was posting on. he doesn't even list zodiaq on his website; i emailed and asked. so you never know. btw... the Dupont website "dealer locator" was a waste of time! the best/nearest fabricator listed doesn't even sell zodiaq, only corian. he's talked to them, but DuPont doesn't bother to fix their listing. so you'll have to keep hunting. quartz (composite) is expensive, but i found nothing equivalent i wanted. so i feel very fortunate this worked out. but you never really know until the stuff is actually installed... then you can breathe! i really wish you good luck. keep us posted. :)

The best recommendation I can make is to get samples of several varieties that draw you in - Do a mock up & then decide.
