Include a photo or give some dimensions of the whole yard for a better answer. It also depends on how much traffic and at what speeds people drive on this side road. If it is a short cul-de-sac, and people have such a short distance to get to their own house that they tend to slow down, the sight lines can be much less. It also depends on how much of your inside the screen/private yard space you need to keep to make it look right from the house. Your greatest risk is that you can't see a pedestrian or dog approaching the driveway, so I'd think you would want at least 15 feet clear of the curb. Cars coming by you can usually hear, it is people,kids and animals that are of more concern. In any case, you will hopefully not be having to constantly back out of your drive onto the street, which is even more dangerous for hitting unseen things. It sounds like what you are saying is that your GP page is opened part way and you are still missing the bar at the bottom. The little square you are talking about is at the top of my window and nothing is on the bottom except the bar. You have two options you can try.You haven't said anything about the tool bar on top so I'm guessing it's there. If so, click on "view" and click on tool bars and make sure "status bar" is checked If it isn't,that bottom bar will disappear from your GP window. See if that works for you.

Why is this important to the current situation?. Get your own real estate attorney. Don't depend on the title company lawyer. Have your own attorney advise you of your options. It will be the best money you have ever spent. It's better to get this out in the open right now while you could still walk away. Take no one's word for it. Make sure you have your own survey. Let everyone know in writing that you plan to erect a fence upon closing. Your attorney will let you know how to proceed.
