not with out paying for it. But you can get open office free and with it you can produce documents that can be opened and read with word and vice versa. With open office you have an option of which format to save in and you simple choose the format for the Word version you want.

You should be able to save a WP file in MS word format.

Here is a link that tells how to share files between MS Office and WP Office.

Make sure that the person you are sending the document to also has Open Office (free) downloaded and installed as well so that they can read it or that they already have a copy of MS Word

when getting your open office do make sure you get the proper OS version since they do make it for Windows, Mac, Linux etc so pay attention to that.

anyone with MS word will be able to open and read your docs created in open office if you saved it as a Word .doc format in open office, when you create a document there will be a drop down list of what format you want to choose to save in.

I have used open Office (OO) in an environment in which Word is the standard word format, usually some near current version of wood, e.g., Office 2005 (I now have 2007 and don't remember what the last version date is). I would save in Word '05 format and was able, most of the time, to open and modify/edit Word documents created by others. There were some glitches, bet there are some new ones between Word '07 and the current version of OO.

The point of my post I I have done what is recommended.

Why not save your docs as Rich Text Format (RTF) so anyone should be able to open them with any word processor? Simple solution, no new program.
