Oh Linda, I'm sending good thoughts to Chabby too, I hope she feels right back to her old self soon.

Amanda's neurologist tells me that there are no mammals that don't "seize", only those who haven't yet. I'm hoping that's easily controllable, but with those meds you have to keep the blood levels stable or it can cause problems. I hope it's just the blood levels evening out.

Well....vet's diagnosis is pulled back muscles...I guess I should have thought of that with that hump backed posture.
so now we are on Rimidyl Robaxin and phenobarb....ought to sleep a lot...
And somehow I have to keep her from doing stairs and jumping up on beds furniture etc....
No idea how she did what she did....or when...but I am relieved that he doesn't think it's anything worse.

She's definitly feeling better with a bit of muscle relaxer and a rimidyl...but it's the devil's own job to keep her from jumping up on furniture and it's going to be a long night to keep her from getting off the bed.

I'm so sorry she wasn't feeling well today, but so glad to finally have some happy news on here about one of our pets. You've definitely got your work cut out for you trying to keep her still and not jumping on furniture. Take good care of your little one tonight.

Snowy says get well soon. Snowy loves little bitty dogs! I don't know if she thinks they guinea pigs (we've had lots of those) or puppies!

Well...I had to put out the garbage....so I closed her in the kitchen....no stairs, so sofa....but when I came back in she was sitting in my computer chair...
Going to be a difficult 2 weeks....

Hope Chabby gets healed up quick. Once my animals figure out how to get my attention I'm stuck. Yoko just bites me.... older pets get away with murder.

Linda, with a pulled back muscle, I think Miss Chabby needs lots of back rubs and of course tummy rubs, plus some cookies. Toss in some snuggles and kisses and you will have her right in no time.

She's better today....still walking with a humped back...tried to shake after her morning outside visit, but thought better of it, so I know she still hurts, but her eyes aren't quite so sad and she's eating.
Doesn't want to turn on her back for a tummy rub....and winces at a back rub....so it's been ears and face for now.
Hope tomorrow brings more improvement. She's not happy that I won't let her up on her favorite high perch to watch the critters in the yard.

Gentle hugs, scratches and licks coming from Brockley and me. I'm just beginning to catch up after returning from a biz trip last night and glad to read your updates. Brockley's in the Rimidyl club now too with a torn ACL. We have a gate at the bottom of the stairs and have to keep him quiet. I understand the challenge.
