r_murray those pots are nice and I bet they will last longer than the store bought ones. I might have to try that this summer. LOL So many projects.......so little time....... I was thinking....if I take 2 pots exactly the same....put the cement in one......smoosh it on the sides............put the other one inside the first one, with the cement in it......let it cure for a while....then take pots off???? Or maybe just use the one pot...will have to work it out. I will have to play with this for a while and figure it out. Will check out the hypertufta forum too. That grout sealer.......I just don't know. If I can only put it on the grout and it cant get on the mirror then I have a problem with that. I dont know if I have enough patience (sp?) to wipe it all off of the mirrored area. I did seal it with polyurethane, will have to post pics later.....photobucket not cooperating right now. Deb

Thank-you. The company sent me the wrong item, I asked for the Laticrete Latasil Silicone Caulk Sealant, but they just sent regular Laticrete, which is OK since it will also get used. The shower is waterproofed to our city code standards, but various contractors waterproof showers "properly" in other methods. So far no water seems to get in behind the wall, it's very dry back in there and we don't use the shower at all when cracks appear - not until it is repaired. A tile contractor (the only one I can find who's website says they do "tile repair" and that comes recommended) said he actually won't come and make these kinds of repairs, he will repair his own work but that of others he removes and re-does it all, because he wants to be able to guarantee the work. I have not found anyone else willing to do the repair. So it's up to me, and I just want to make sure I have what it takes before tackling it! Thank-you for your advice about the caulk.

Okay. For everyone's benefit, Brutuses emailed me a pic of her tile: I've got three choices for you. The first, if you don't want to see s stark contrast, would be Custom's Arctic Ice. It's more or less a very light silver with a blue tint to it. The other two would be much more of a contrast, but they're also both Custom's colors-- Ocean Blue and Captain's Blue. There's also one more that's more of a teal color called North Sea Green. My first preferrence, though, would be the Arctic ice.

Please help me choose between these 3 grout colors. The contractor is installing Ardex epoxy grout, and these options are the finalists. It's a 3x3ft shower, with tiles in this picture: 12x24" pure white tiles and this mosaic at the top - probably 10" tall niche the length of one wall. The 3rd wall is a pony wall. This is the current tile and wall color that is not changing. And if it matters, the current floor tile and new shower floor tile with its grout.
