My attempt to download an audiobook failed

It's in rather a mess, actually. I'm using a service from the state of Pennsylvania through my library card. I logged into the site just fine, chose the book, and--following directions obtained at the library--downloaded it and saved it to my desktop.

From there, according to the same instructions, I was supposed to double-click on the icon, at which point I would acquire the license to use it. Then the directions say to connect the MP3 player to the computer via the USB cable. Double-click again, and Windows Media Player would open up. WMP will then synchronize the audiobook to my MP3 player.

None of the steps in the above paragraph took place as described. When I double-clicked on the book file the first time, MusicMatch Jukebox opened up and began the synch process without benefit of a connected MP3 player. I stopped it and started it again after connecting the player, but nothing got transferred to it.

The MP3 player's (SanDisk Sansa 240) manual says to drag the book's icon into the device using Windows Explorer. I tried that, but it wouldn't work because I don't have the license. When I tried again to get the license, I got a message saying I got the license on another computer and I'll have to go back to that computer in order for any of this to work. I haven't done a thing with this on another computer.

I know this is quite a mess. If you can make any sense out of it and advise me what to do, I'd appreciate it. Would it help to uninstall MusicMatch Jukebox? Would it be wise to do that? Something else?

Thanks!

Susan
