I downloaded a free program, Irfanview. I click on my photo, then click on Images, resize, and put the width to 400, or 370 to make the other dimension less than 500. Then I save the photo to my computer. This should work.

OK...little doubt that 1) you did NOT record as "data" but, rather, as "music" for playing as music CD and 2) inasmuch as the CD's play the tunes OK on CD-player you need have little doubt that your music files remain intact -- albeit in a format that is confusing to you computer-wise. You are missing something in the way your computer handles tunes. Too much to write here. Suggest preserve your recorded CD's where the important music resides in a safe place and then LEARN how your computer handles this information. You WILL be able to upload your preserved tunes into a computer and you WILL be able to do anything you want with them thereafter. Sorry, but there really is too much to write. This is simple widely-known stuff. I have no doubt you will be able to find locally.

If this really was an eBay purchase, I'd like to know how you installed NAV if there was no CD involved? You could try to download a free trial of the current version, then see if you can register it with your code but since it's from...so long ago...I'd be surprised if it worked. Nothing to be lost by trying, is there? Or, call Norton support & see if they will work with you. For anyone else, I would suggest considering several free alternatives as a solution to this problem but on this occasion I will let the other fine members of this forum carry out that task. They have more patience than I do.

To paste Album Art, right click the grey icon, a dropdown will have the selection "Paste Album Art" *note, you'll have to have the album art or photo to be on your clipboard to have "paste album art" to show. Which means you'll have to copy the album art photo from somewhere. In my music folder there is some album art, but not all songs come with the album art photo in the song tag. Rip means that it will save the burn info in C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents\My Music, or the folder of your choice. Rip will also burn if there is a cd inserted. Burn means it will burn straight away with a cd inserted, basically the same thing except Rip saves the info to a folder, possibly to burn at another time. There is a way to organize all your music by genre, year, rating, artist, ect. I used to have the library organized on the older WMP9 & 10, but don't have the time now to figure it out. I just play the songs and they are saved in the library in alphabetical order.
