Thankfully, DSS Agent/Broderbund is not on PM 16, so that's not an issue for me. Randy, I searched the software in regedit. All my software was listed, but there was nothing for Printmaster or Broderbund. Mikie, I searched for Application Data\Printmaster folders and found a few in Word that I downloaded from Broderbund with some technical notes I wanted to keep. Would I need to delete these? Soooooo, I need to proceed with backing up my registry before tiptoeing into RegSeeker. I'm proceeding cautiously. These are new waters for me! :) I googled for info on backing up the registry and feel somewhat overwhelmed. I don't know if Microsoft is saying the same thing in two sets of directions or giving me two different procedures... I am not getting these follow-up posts emailed to me even though i checked to have emails sent - so I didn't know there was more. I hope they keep supporting version 3 - since we have 5 xp computers between home and work. I do have FF4 on dd's laptop - but not quite sure how it's going for her. She said she didn't like it - and I offered to try above suggestions to make it appear more like she's familiar with. She wants me to in theory - but in reality never wants to hand over the computer to have me do it. When I have more leisure to try again, am I recalling correctly that I can have 2 firefoxes installed - one version 3, and one version 4? And I can use xmarks to sync bookmarks, etc. That way I can get used to ff4 - but go back to 3 for the times I need things to go smoothly and not tinker? I would first uninstall the toolbar to see if that gets rid of it. You can always reinstall it if you really want to keep it. I would clean out all your browser history-temp files-cookies too. To each his/her own, but this is just one example of why toolbars are often more trouble than they are worth. If you could get along without it, you might be better off and -if it's misbehaving - you'd probably avoid having it conflict with other programs...which may be what is happening.
