Maybe related or can point you in the right direction. I recently visited an area resort on Cape Cod where a golf course was being renovated. On a tour of the facility I asked why there was so much sand being put down and where the loam or topsil was. They put down atleast 8" of a 80% sand and 20% seed mix...and no loam or soil! Pretty sure it was rolled out. They were planting bent grass (tee boxes, fairways, greens) and bluegrass on the first cut. True they have drainage and irrigation, but I was surprised they were using a mix with primarily sand.

Identify???? A dormant hydrangea would be almost impossible even for a pro to identify. The only hint in your picture is the leftover bloom from last season which hints at a lacecap form. Could be either macrophylla or serrata. At least that narrows it down some. Post another picture when it's in bloom. Still no guarantee of exact identity, but it may help. As far as "am I in need of care?" goes...doesn't look like anything is wrong. In zone 6, this is what a semi-dormant hydrangea looks like. Protect it from late frosts/freezes, and keep it moist and well drained. (fertilizer is optional)Wait a month or two and see what happens!.....yg

OK, the popup is gone but what are you now using for a firewall? If you use Vista is has a satisfactory firewall but if you use XP then the MS firewall only stops incoming and does nothing to stop things already on your computer phoning home.

ok i want herbs that heal and help a variety of things. now I am a novice at this. but i do have garden space to plant on. so if anyone has any herbs they would like to share i would greatly appreciate it. and the second thing is if you have herb advice i would appreciate that too.
