I have really overdone it this year! I had some time off this winter and by the end of February I got the itch so bad that I couldn't help but get some seed started. I am in zone 4 and my last frost isn't until the middle of May. You can imagine how big my tomatoes are at this moment(9 inches) and having 2 months to go, how big they will be by the time I can plant them outdoors. I am almost embarrassed, I also started peppers and onions! I have already repotted most and am out of room for anything more, but then I went and planted some broccoli and oregano. I told my husband we will be converting the ping pong table in the basement as the table for the starts because I got my hands on a 1000watt grow light. So now I've got plans to start some basil, cucumbers, pumpkin, marigolds, parsley, calendula and I'm sure more I can't remember. So now I will divulge that I only have 2 15x15 garden plots, one of them half filled with strawberries. I have no idea what I will do with all the starts, I just want to grow them. Oh, and I planted my peas outside already. Yes, there is truly something wrong with me..lol! Maybe I need to move somewhere where the winters aren't so long.

Thanks, Grandms. I couldn't reply right away because I had to go out for several hours. I go directly to the web mail via my browser, connecting to each type of e-mail separately by clicking on it in Bookmarks (=favorites). I never use Outlook E. and although I do use Hotmail, I decided not to have it gather all my e-mail in one place. I use one e-mail program for one sort of business, and other programs for friends, or i-Tunes receipts, and so on. It simplifies life somewhat. Hmm, although over the past three days or so, I had to give up on many of my attempts to bring up Lycos, this morning and again, just now, it came up with no problem. I can't help connecting the trouble with their switch to Zimbra, but on the Zimbra forum that I visited in hopes of a cure, Zimbra told someone else that it is entirely a Lycos problem and, in effect, washed their hands of it. When I was searching here for a solution, I came across a post I made in Dec. about something similar, but not as bad as it was this time. I guess if no one else is having this trouble and it doesn't start bothering me again, I might be smart to just let sleeping dogs lie!

Do I delete each account and then recreate it as IMAP? Will I lose the e-mails that have been saved under Local Folders? " One thing . . . my "Local folders" only contain Trash & Outbox. All my other Inboxes, etc. are within separate acct folders. I.E., each other acct. contains an Inbox, Drafts, Sent, etc. - outside of "Local Folders." Anyway, there's a good chance that after you create an IMAP acct., the email that you have already downloaded using POP mail, and deleted from the server - won't show up in the IMAP Inbox. You'd have to import them back in. Just to be safe, I would export all your email first so that you have it as backup. Then make new accts as IMAP. See if everything looks correct, or if you need to import anything from the backup you just made. Finally, delete the POP accts. There is a really handy addon tool for TB : ImportExportTools https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/?src=search (That page looks complicated, but the use of the tool is not) The two different ways to export using that tool are - (and you get to the choices by right clicking on "Inbox" or any other folder) : 1) "Export folder" (w/ or w/o structure) This makes an Mbox file of everything that you export. It makes for just a few simple files that aggregate everything within the respective folders. So you will end up w/ one Inbox file, one Drafts file, etc. "Structure" just means you will keep the nested structure of the folders. The disadvantage is that you can't read them later w/o importing them back first (using ImportExportTools). 2) "Export all Messages" (and choose "eml" format here) This exports each email as a .eml file - and you can identify and read each one separately later after exporting. So if you export 500 emails, you'll get 500 .eml files. You can batch import them though using ImportExportTools. And you can read them just by clicking on them individually. There's no harm in exporting both ways if you like. Just create separate folders so you can keep it all straight. Play around with it a bit until you get the hang of it. For all the people recommending this way to do email or that - this debate has been going on for years. There are advantages and disadvantages to each - it really depends on your needs. I wouldn't say that any one of them is "unusual" as someone commented - what's unusual to one is likely normal to someone else. Personally I use them all, and all for different purposes - no one method seems to work for every purpose. I do use web based email for the most part though. (((Jan))) I am late chiming in, but I just want to know you are not alone.... I am a state employee, and I completely get it. So sorry for what you are going through. Work is stressful enough without the added burden of politics and controversy. In my case,for over a year, there has been endless ridiculous drama resulting from employee complaints and an internal investigation. It has been incredibly stressful. I have struggled with depression throughout my life, and the work situation in combination with other life stresses pushed me over the edge to being very depressed. Crying in the car between meetings, losing interest and motivation, feeling completely trapped and hopeless. It has gotten much better since going back on antidepressants. I am again realizing I probably need to stay on them forever. I don't like it, but know that I truly need them. I also encourage you to find whatever support systems you can-- the EAP program, a trusted friend, this board, respite care, family, whatever you can access. You HAVE TO take care of yourself. Even if it's one evening a week, you must find time to do whatever YOU need to do-- sleep, read, shop, sit... Lastly, my DH is a special ed teacher (and another state employee). Autism spectrum disorders are very challenging and exhausting. It is 100% normal and acceptable to use respite care. The very reason for it is to give exhausted parents, who have a 24-7 responsibility to their children, in addition to jobs, family, other children, a much needed break!
