Uninstall IE8 revert back to IE7 see if issue goes away.

Is this happening with others?
It just recently began happening and I have had IE8 since they released it.

I initially had odd problems with ie8 and it was primarly the 'Immuninize' feature of Spybot Search and Destroy had to be removed,, eventually I cleaned out all my Restricted Sites url's the majority of which another anti-spyware program must have injected. Think that was my major issue.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Click here
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
 Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
 If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
 Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
 The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
 When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
 Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
 When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
 The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
 Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.

I did it with regedit, pretty quick for me.

First thing to do is if you had run the inoculate or immunize in SpyBot S&G is to run it again and it will give the option to remove those.... and also I have seen others mention the List of blocked url in HOSTS is a problem too.. So you might want clean you host up while in Spybot if you use that feature too.

To clean the restricted site urls out,,, close your browser and go into Control Panels 'Internet Options'
Then click the Security tab
Then click Restricted sites
Then the 'Sites button ... clean those out.

Another thing I had a probable issue with... but to be safe I uninstalled Avast virus program because even though it was disabled when I was installing the first time,,, it popped a lightning fast message that I think was saying it blocked registry key changes. Which is not a real good thing when you install a windows or other legit program.

click each url to hi-light & then press the remove button

Alternatively.......
IF there's lots of urls and it looks like too much time to select/remove one at a time,,, & you don't have many special browser settings, that you wouldn't mind reconfiguring ... you could try the advanced tab and there is a reset button there that resets the browser to the default settings. While I'm not 100% positive, I think pressing reset button will probably clear all the urls out there and everywhere else too.

How much RAM do you have? A GB or less and you will have concerns with IE8 regardless of OS.
